A one-vehicle rollover accident, unknown injuries, is reported at mile marker 397 on the westbound Thruway. East Pembroke Fire Department and Mercy medics are responding.
UPDATE 7:31 p.m.: Responders on scene report there's nothing found. The single call may have been about a disabled semi roadside. After midnight, a tractor-trailer accident was reported near the location. It landed on its roof and dumped its cargo of bananas. Since then, the semi has been uprighted, but remains roadside until its tow is available, which is expected within the next 24 hours. Responders to this call are returning to quarters.
A 62-year-old pedestrian suffered a minor injury after being struck by a car at 6:15 p.m., Wednesday, in the parking lot of Santino's Pizza. It's located at 2 Main St., Oakfield.
The driver, Angela N. Husted, 29, of Le Roy, said she did not see Franklin J. Ludwig, of Oakfield, as she backed out of a parking space.
Ludwig was transported by ground ambulance to UMMC.
No citations were issued.
The accident was investigated by Deputy Joseph Graff.
Two cars as well as a tractor-trailer are involved in an accident at Broadway (Route 20) and Harlow roads. Darien Fire Department and Mercy EMS are responding.
UPDATE 2:47 p.m.: A responder on scene says injuries, if any, are minor. Medics just need to check out those involved. There is a power pole down and National Grid has been notified.
UPDATE 3:42 p.m.: There were five patient sign-offs. The Darien assignment is back in service and so is Mercy EMS. State Police will remain at the scene as long as necessary. National Grid is there fixing the pole.
A two-car accident is reported at routes 5 and 77. One person reportedly has a minor injury from air-bag deployment. A vehicle is blocking the intersection. Pembroke and Indian Falls fire departments are responding along with Mercy medics.
UPDATE 6:03 p.m.: Fire police are called to direct traffic. Mercy EMS is cancelled. The injured person has some bruising of the inner thighs due to air-bag deployment.
Batavia PD is being dispatched to the gas pumps at Tops for a property damage accident.
Reportedly, a driver pulled up to a pump, found it wasn't working, tried to back up, struck a car, then pulled around to the other side and struck one of the barrier poles. The driver then got out and proceeded to start pumping gas.
A two-car head-on collision with at least one injury, unknown severity, is reported at Route 20 and Roanoke Road. Pavilion Fire Department and Mercy EMS are responding. They are checking the availability of Mercy Flight.
UPDATE 1:16 p.m.: Mercy Flight 5 out of Batavia is put on ground standby.
UPDATE 1:19 p.m.: A female is injured and will require extrication. She is alert. Le Roy fire is also called. Mercy Flight is launching.
UPDATE 1:21 p.m.: Mercy Flight is on in-air standby.
UPDATE 1:25 p.m.: The driver of the second vehicle is alert. No word on injuries. Mercy Flight is called to the scene and will land in a freshly cut hay field south of the incident.
UPDATE 1:29 p.m.: The accident is not blocking traffic, but the roadway is shut down to handle the emergency. A State Trooper is on scene. Two flatbed tows are called.
UPDATE 1:40 p.m.: The patient has been extricated.
UPDATE 1:44 p.m.: Le Roy is back in service.
UPDATE 1:55 p.m.: Mercy Flight is airborne, heading to Strong Memorial Hospital.
UPDATE 1:58 p.m.: Pavilion and Mercy EMS are back in service.
A truck struck a pole in the area of 11117 Alleghany Road in Darien. There are no injuries, but the pole is down and there is "a quantity" of live wires in the roadway. Darien Fire Department is responding as are Sheriff's deputies. The truck is stopped. One lane of Traffic is blocked. The location is near O'Connor Road.
UPDATE 11:18 a.m.: The road is completely blocked and will be shut down for quite some time until the live wires can be cleared off. "A full crew" from National Grid is required.
UPDATE 11:21 a.m.: A responder says there are two poles down, one on each side of the road.
UPDATE 11:29 p.m.: A commerical tow is called for the truck, which is carrying an oversized load of cargo. The accident site is near the Wyoming County line.
UPDATE 11:38 a.m.: Passenger vehicles will be allowed to travel on O'Connor Road, but commericial traffic will be rerouted. Wyoming County is dispatching personnel to handle it.
UPDATE 12:03 p.m.: National Grid is now on location. The truck has valid New Jersey plates.
UPDATE 12:12 p.m.: Traffic on Alleghany Road is being allowed to pass the truck now.
UPDATE 12:47 p.m.: The road is reopened and Darien is back in service.
A motor-vehicle accident is reported by Wendy's restaurant off Main Street. There are no injuries, but it is completely blocking traffic. Police are on scene.
An injury accident is reported at Ross and East Main streets in the City of Batavia. City fire and Mercy medics are responding.
A bicyclist is in the roadway, unknown reason, at 1655 Lewiston Road. Alabama fire and Mercy medics are responding.

UPDATE 8:02 p.m.: Alabama is back in service.A car and motorcycle collided at the intersection of routes 77 and 33. The motorcyclist is still in the roadway. Corfu Fire Department and two Mercy medic units are responding.
UPDATE 7:58 p.m.: A Mercy ambulance is transporting one patient to Erie County Medical Center.
UPDATE 8:07 p.m.: A second patient is transported to ECMC. Three people at the scene were sign-offs. Corfu is back in service.
A car accident is reported at 7428 Sand Hill Road. Injuries, if any, are unknown. The car is in a ditch. Alabama Fire Department and medics are responding.
UPDATE 1:18 p.m.: Mercy Flight is called to the scene. The accident is "around the bend." Fire police are told to shut down Sand Hill Road at Bloomingdale Road.

A car has crashed into a guard rail on the eastbound Thruway. There are injuries. The site is at mile marker 397. East Pembroke Fire Department and Mercy medics are responding.

A two-car accident with injuries is reported at 2337 W. Main Road (Route 5). East Pembroke Fire Department and Mercy medics are responding. The location is between Indian Falls Road and West Avenue.
UPDATE 3:35 p.m.: A responder on scene says injuries appear to be minor. State police are responding. Fire police are requested to control traffic.
UPDATE 3:38 p.m.: A second ambulance is requested. The injuries are confirmed to be minor. There are two adults and two children involved.
UPDATE 4:01 p.m.: All units clear. Back in service. Mercy is transporting a 3-week-old girl to UMMC for evaluation. She does not have any apparent injuries. She was strapped in a rear-facing car seat at the time of the crash. The car she was riding in was stopped behind a school bus when it was struck from behind, speed unknown, but the car was not damaged. An elderly woman is also being taken to UMMC for evaluation, primarily due to her age.
A dump truck has reportedly struck a utility pole and knocked down power lines at Route 33 and Ellinwood Road, Corfu.
The lines are blocking the road.
Corfu Fire Department is being dispatched.
No injuries are reported.
UPDATE 2:08 p.m.: The accident location is apparently further east than originally reported and may be in East Pembroke's district. A Corfu chief is continuing and will advise dispatch.

UPDATE 2:14 p.m.: The road is completely blocked. Route 33 is being shut down at Angling Road by Corfu. Street address is 2308 Route 33. National Grid has been notified.
UPDATE 2:18 p.m.: East Pembroke fire police will shut the road down at Route 33 and Reed Road. National Grid has a 20 minute ETA.
UPDATE 2:53 p.m.: The road is open.

A head-on collision has been reported on Route 77 in front of the Pembroke Town Park, but the injuries are reportedly minor.
One person has elbow pain and the other person is refusing EMS.
A Corfu fire chief was on scene immediately and a Corfu unit is dispatched along with Mercy EMS.
UPDATE 7:10 p.m.: The initial report to dispatch was wrong. This was not a head-on accident. It is a rear-end accident.
UPDATE 7:34 p.m.: One patient taken to UMMC with complaint of back pain.
UPDATE 7:37 p.m.: Corfu back in service. Road reopened.
A car has reportedly smashed into the guard rail on the westbound Thruway at mile marker 386.2. There are injuries. Town of Batavia Fire Department and medics are responding.
UPDATE 4:15 p.m.: Responders on scene say there is one female, said to be argumentative, who was thought to be injured, but claims she has no pain. State police are arriving on scene. The car is partially blocking the roadway.
UPDATE 4:20 p.m.: Engine 24 is handling the assignment and medics are put back in service.
UPDATE 4:22 p.m.: The passing lane will be briefly shut down so responders can clear away debris in the roadway.
UPDATE 4:38 p.m.: Town of Batavia is back in service. The driver declined medical treatment.
Multiple vehicles are reportedly involved in an accident in Elba on North Main Street, north of Mechanic Street. A Sheriff's deputy is on scene and Elba firefighters are responding. A female driver allegedly sideswiped a number of vehicles after her car's brakes failed.
Four people were injured in a two-car accident Wednesday on Route 33 at Prole Road, after one driver allegedly failed to yield the right of way.
Injured were Joyce Bruyere, 71, of Tonawanda, her passenger, Annette R. Lund, 74, the driver of the second vehicle, Lindsay H. Fisher, 24, of Darien Center and her passenger, Rachel L. Piacente.
At least one person needed to be extricated from a vehicle following the accident by Town of Stafford Fire Department.
Mercy EMS transported Bruyere and Lund to UMMC, and Fisher and Piacente to Strong.
Deputy Joseph Graff said in his report that Fisher was heading northeast on Route 33 and Bruyere was stopped facing north at Prole Road. Bruyere then allegedly pulled onto Route 33 as Fisher's car approached.
Bruyere was issued a traffic citation.
