Kay & I would love to have y'all join the Old Hippies for our livestream Saturday, April 17, at 7 p.m. HOME TO HOME CONCERT SERIES FOR THE COMMON GOOD LIVESTREAM #56.

As we ease into more of a social musical experience, we will continue to offer the livestreams along with invitations to those comfortable attending our live shows.

We remain trying to make the best of it like everyone else remaining safe, traveling along the trail, enjoying the ride, we will open our windows and allow some fresh air in and our music out for all to enjoy.

Scrap weighing you down? Well, put it to good use and donate it to benefit homeless pets at the Genesee County Animal Shelter.

It'll soon be time to once again for Scrap for the Pack!

The metal recycling event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday June 19 and 20 in the shelter parking lot, 3841 W. Main Street Road in the Town of Batavia.

The scrap service will be handled by Ed Arnold EAS Scrap Processors of Corfu.

Gilliana's Diner in Batavia is donating 30 percent of all take-out dinner sales to benefit the Batavia Business & Professional Women's Club on Thursday, April 29.

Time is 4 to 8 p.m.

The diner is located at 41 Jackson St. in Downtown Batavia.

The club provides scholarships to local youth and monetary wards to nonprofit orgnaization to help further their missions in our community.

Virtual Reel Discussion at Richmond Memorial Library is at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 22.

The way I see it, we've all been a bit feral for the past year++. It's a year's worth and then some of our HOME TO HOME CONCERT SERIES FOR THE COMMON GOOD LIVESTREAM.

There will be a 13-day electronics recycling event at Ascension Parish in Batavia starting Thursday, April 8, and running through Tuesday, April 20 Thursday April 15.

The drop-off site is the garage adjacent to the parking lot behind the parish hall, which is located at 17 Sumner St. Signs will be put up to direct you.

Time is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

Sunnking Recycling is handling the recycling.

On Saturday and Sunday May 15 and 16, I am hosting a yard sale at my house at 150 State St. in Batavia. Time both days is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m..

All the proceeds are going to the nonprofit Habitat for Humanity.

Most of my rocks are up for purchase/ donation as well. There are many new ones I have put out this year.

The Fashion Program students at Genesee Community College announced the 40th Annual Fashion Show will go live, ONLINE, for FREE on Saturday, May 1 at 6 p.m. and this year's show is just in time for the "Novaturient" desires stirring in us all!

The term novaturient describes a desire for change that leads one to travel -- to seek a change in environment.

The Batavia Society of Artists is having a Virtual Hands-on Art Demonstration by artist Karen Crittenden at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13th.

It is open to nonmembers for a $5 fee, please go to the society's Facebook page to sign up. Members will receive an email with Zoom meeting info.

A webinar focusing on teenagers' abuse of prescription medication will be offered via Zoom videoconference from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 25.

It is sponsored by the Upstate New York Poison Center and is the third webinar in their Health Educator Series. Anyone interested in the topic is welcome to register for it.

In order to earn funds for local nonprofits, St James Episcopal Church is hosting a Carryout for a Cause Fundraiser through their local Batavia Applebee’s. The event will run all day today -- Tuesday, March 23 (now until until close).

The Genesee Symphony Orchestra will livestream a free memorial concert next Friday honoring the late musician and educator Bob Knipe, who played in the orchestra and served on the board for many years, among his other contributions.

The Robert Knipe Memorial Concert will be held virtually via the streaming service Vimeo beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 26.

Corfu Grange #142 will hold a Wendel's Chicken Barbeque on Sunday, April 18th, noon until sold out. Drive-through only. 

Event will be held at the Corfu Grange Hall, 73 Alleghany Road, Corfu.

The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Genesee County Board of Directors meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23.
