It depends on what they are posting. Kid wins an award, then why not. Something about the kids behavior, then no.

If your kid is rotten to the core you don't have to mention it, they will brag about it all over Facebook by themselves and probably post a YouTube video to prove that they really are that stupid.

I avoid social media. I see few benefits of that much anonymous interaction with who knows who.
What a great nugget from the comments after the article. Future kids will be able to sue their parents right into the poor house for betraying their right to privacy. Crazy world.

I've heard it called social media.
Facebook is not anonymous and administrators are aggressive about blocking fake name accounts (not that it doesn't happen and people with public reputations have creative ways of ensuring their friends can find them, but not the general public, but that still isn't anonymous).
Twitter can be anonymous, but rarely is because it just isn't as effective if real world people can't find you.
One of Mark Zuckerberg's theories when starting FB was that real names would engender more civil behavior. A view I once shared, but I now think of FB as a cesspool I'm aghast sometimes at the horrible things post on news stories with their real names in full view.
One reason we don't get as many comments on TB as we once did is because we do our best to ensure civil behavior. Real names or not, too many people want the freedom to be rude and crude.
Yeah. I understand what you
Yeah. I understand what you said about FB. Occasionally, while reading an article, I'll come across a link to a FB page that "non-members" can read. Other than that, you have to sign-up to read/post stuff.
I used to comment on BDN items, but, once they went to FB, that shut me out. Oh Well! Life goes on. I have no need for it. Am thankful for the way TB is handled.
