The next “We’ve Only Just Begun” Sr. Luncheon's theme will be FALL. On Tuesday, October 15 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the South Alabama Firehall, Route 63 (2230 Judge Road, Oakfield). 

We will be starting lunch promptly at 11:45am to give our speakers more time. We are open to the public and welcome all!  

Our speaker this month will be Gregory P. Kinal, former History teacher at Pembroke Central School.  

He will be speaking about “DAY’S THAT SHOOK AMERICA” a program that touches on major news stories from 1900 to present.  

This fast-paced program covers a multitude of tragedies as well as triumphs experienced in the USA. You won’t want to miss this informative program this month!

The next "We’ve Only Just Begun" Sr. Luncheon: Theme: Back to School is on Tuesday, September 17 from 11:30-1:30 p.m. at the South Alabama Firehall, Route 63 (2230 Judge Road, Oakfield). Open to the public and welcome all!

Our speaker this month will be Dorothy Schlaggel, and she will be speaking about the Genesee County Cancer Assistance Program that she and two others were the founders of. Dorothy is a cancer survivor and she will be sharing how this program was developed to help the people in our County. You won’t want to miss this informative program this month!

“We’ve Only Just Begun” Sr. Luncheon is Tuesday, August 20 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the South Alabama Firehall on Route 63 located at 2230 Judge Road, Oakfield. We are open to the public and welcome all!

This month our returning special guest will be  “Daniel Viola, Standup Comedian”. Dan is 57 years old, a husband, father of 7, and a teacher in the Brockport school system.

Dan connects with any audience. Drawing on his background as a game show host, parent teacher, coach and salesman, he delivers energetic and relevant entertainment. His credits include comedy clubs, casinos, cruises, colleges and corporate events, as well as appearances on The Nashville Network and in TV commercials. You won’t want to miss Dan performing at our August Luncheon!

Annual senior luncheon picnic is set for Tuesday

“We’ve Only Just Begun” Sr. Luncheon is Tuesday, July 16 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the So. Alabama Firehall on Route 63 (2230 Judge Rd, Oakfield).

This month is our Annual Picnic, followed by our Annual BINGO DAY! Reservations are required, respond by July 15 and it is $10 per person. The Alabama Hotel will cater the picnic.

This will be our Welcome Back Luncheon for 2024.  Our Guest Speaker is Dan Lyon from Lifespan in Rochester.  He will be presenting SCAM 101, a very important topic in our society today.  

Every second of every day someone is out there trying to scam you out of something.  He will be discussing Fraud, Scam, and ID theft. So let's listen and get prepared. It could happen to you!

November's 'We've only just begun' senior luncheon speaker announced

The “We’ve Only Just Begun” senior luncheon is on Tuesday, Nov. 21, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the South Alabama Firehall. OPEN to the public!  

This month our speaker is Ray Cianfrini, retired Oakfield Attorney & our former Genesee County Legislator.  He will be speaking about the “KU KLUX KLAN” in Oakfield and Genesee County, during the early 1920’s. The Klan and local immigrants are the subject of a talk titled “Clash of Cultures”!  An interesting topic you won’t want to miss.

Alabama-Oakfield Senior Luncheon Group meets Jan. 21 at new location -- South Alabama Fire Hall

The Alabama-Oakfield Senior Luncheon Group -- whose motto is "We've Only Just Begun" -- has moved to a larger facility in order to accommodate more attendees!

The next luncheon will be held from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at the South Alabama Fire Hall, located at 2230 Judge Road (Route 63) in Oakfield.

Please use the large FRONT ENTRANCE and go directly to the dining room.

All are welcome to attend and bring a favorite dish to pass. Enjoy lunch and an afternoon of fun with friends!
