Discover the Secret World of Spiders at GC Park & Forest

Do spiders freak you out? Did you know that spiders are like tiny little bodyguards? Spiders are helpful, and they are everywhere!! Join us for The Secret World of Spiders at the Genesee County Park & Forest Interpretive Nature Center from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22nd. Come learn about the amazing lives of your tiny, eight-legged neighbors and why having them around is a good thing. Meet live tarantulas and other spiders from around the world, and find out how spiders help us stay safe and healthy in so many ways! Program will take place indoors.

‘I Love Mushrooms’ event at Richmond library for ages 7-12, register as space is limited

The “I Love Mushrooms” program is a celebration of all things mushroom. During the month of November the Richmond Memorial Library is celebrating the 150th birthday of author and illustrator Beatrix Potter. Did you know that Beatrix Potter was an amateur mycologist (mushroom scientist)?
