The “I Love Mushrooms” program is a celebration of all things mushroom.
During the month of November the Richmond Memorial Library is celebrating the 150th birthday of author and illustrator Beatrix Potter. Did you know that Beatrix Potter was an amateur mycologist (mushroom scientist)? She drew and painted hundreds of mushrooms, and in 1897 Beatrix submitted a scientific paper on the study of mushrooms and their spores.
To celebrate Beatrix Potters love of mushrooms, Olga Tzogas from Smugtown Mushrooms, of Rochester, will guide us an interactive and fun-filled journey all about mushrooms.
Recommended for ages 7-12, Parents are welcome to enjoy the program with their child. Please register, space is limited.
