MARJORIE V. TRIPP

Age 89, of Bergen, died peacefully Thursday June 9, 2016 at the Genesee County Nursing Home. She was born October 16, 1927 in Bergen, NY, a daughter of the late Olin and Florence (Yarnell) Bissell also preceded in death by her husband, Guy Tripp; brother, James Bissell and a sister, Marian Kenner.     

Mrs. Tripp enjoyed country music, playing cards, taking trips and most importantly family and time spent with them. 

Surviving are her loving sons, Gary (Kathryn Sobresky) Tripp and James (Terry) Tripp all of Batavia; grandchildren, James Tripp, Jeremy (Jessica) Tripp, Robert (Mindy Snyder) Tripp, Christopher (Elizabeth) Tripp and Kelly (Will) Smith; great-grandchildren, Patrick, Scott, Shawn, Natalie, Nicholas, Collin, Brooklyn, Liam, Alaina, Amelia & Owen Tripp and Harper Smith; former daughter-in-law, Cindy Tripp of Basom; sister, Kathleen Miller of FL and sister-in-law, Phyllis Bissell of NC along with several nieces and nephews.  

At Mrs. Tripp's request there is no visitation and funeral services will be held privately by her family. She will be buried in Mt. Rest Cemetery in Bergen and in lieu of flowers memorials in her memory can be made to either, Town of Batavia or East Pembroke Volunteer Fire Departments.

Byron –Mary Ellen (Lynch) Barnard, 88, of Byron, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home.

Mary was born October 25, 1927 in Batavia, the daughter of the late Judson and Elsie Anderson MacConnell.

Mary is predeceased by her husband, Lester J.  Barnard, who passed away on April 5, 2013 and her brother, Robert (Jean) MacConnell.

Mary is survived by her sons, Robert (Sue) Lynch of Titusville, Florida and Twilly (Pam Boshart) Lynch of Byron; two grandchildren, Mallory J. (Chris) Scopano of Bergen and Shannon K. Lynch of Port St. John, Florida; two great-granddaughters, Mackenzie and Kerri Lynch of Port St. John, Florida; her step-son, Norm (Sharon) Barnard of El Paso, Texas; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law including MaryAnn (Bud) Alexander of Byron and Arlene Boldt, of South Byron. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Shetler was proud to have served in the United States Army. He worked for many years and retired from Kodak in Rochester. Jiggs enjoyed racing, going to the casino and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

Jiggs is survived by his beloved wife Elaine (Weber) Shetler of Alabama, NY; son Carl (Ann Marie) Shetler of Alabama, NY; siblings Lavina Ritenour of PA; Earl (Louise) Shetler of PA; Flo (Russ Soles) Hicks of PA; Jean (Eugene) Baker of Medina; sister-in-law Gladys Shetler of PA; grandsons Carl and Michael Shetler; Daniel and Michael Freeman; great-grandsons Carson and Scott Shetler, along with many nieces and nephews.

South Byron - June L. Eichenberger, 83, of South Byron, passed away Wednesday, (June 8, 2016) at the Genesee County Nursing Home, in Batavia.

Mrs. Eichenberger was born January 10, 1933 in Batavia, a daughter of the late James and Annie (Hunt) Ball.

June enjoyed gardening, traveling, and making new friends.  She was a person of strong will; and you always knew exactly where you stood with her. 

She was the wife of the late Robert N. Eichenberger, who passed away on October 3, 2012.

Surviving are her sons, Mitchell (Patti) Eichenberger of Bergen, Richard (Kathleen) Eichenberger of Hamlin, and Steven (Jeanette) Eichenberger of Williamson; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Norma (late Jack) Cunningham of Bergen; and a niece, Carol (Joe) Grasso of Batavia.

She is preceded in death by her siblings, Harry (late Mary) Ball, Dorothy (late Roy) Rupert, and Bill Hunt.

Rodger L. Hay, 76, of Batavia, formally of Rochester passed away on Saturday May 21, 2016 at the Batavia Health Care Center.  He was born on October 19, 2016 in Jefferson County, Kentucky to the late Cecil and Josephine (Welch) Hay. 

There will be no prior calling hours. A 10:30AM Graveside Service will take place on Monday June 13, 2016 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Ithaca, NY.

LeRoy/Stafford ~ Mary (Leanen) Waterman, 86, of LeRoy, formerly of Stafford, passed away on November 26, 2015 at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home.

     Mrs. Waterman was a lifetime resident of the Stafford area and was a beloved mother and grandmother. She was a farm homemaker, 4-H leader, and former employee of Genesee Memorial Hospital. She was a dedicated member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Stafford and the Stafford Historical Society.

     She is survived by her children, Roger Waterman of Tucson, Ariz., Jerold (Elizabeth) Waterman of Panama City, Fla., Sandra (Bruce) Lattimer of Spring Hill, Fla. and Jeffrey (Shelly) Waterman of Stafford; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

     She was predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Waterman, her parents, Frank and Amy (Pamphilon) Leanen, and her two brothers, Edward C. Leanen and Harry P. Leanen.

     A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Stafford on Saturday, June 18 at 10:00 am, to be followed by a reception at the church hall.  A private interment will be held at the Stafford Cemetery.

     Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Stafford.

She was born July 27, 1920 in Batavia, the daughter of the late Sebastian and Mary LaBue Puma.

A lifelong member of St. Padre Pio Parish, Lucy enjoyed knitting, gardening and crocheting. She loved to watch television and her favorite show was Everybody Loves Raymond.

She is survived by her brothers, Charles Puma of Arizona and Joseph Puma of California; several nieces and nephews including Joseph (Geri) Puma of Byron, great nieces and nephews, Aimee(Jeff) Maurer of Bergen, Mark Puma of Brockport, Joel Puma of Batavia, and Jaime Ayala of Batavia and a lifelong friend, Marjorie Hedges of Oakfield.

Lucy was predeceased by her nephew Nicholas Puma and her brothers John and Anthony Puma.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Padre Pio Parish, St. Cecilia's Worship Site, 56 Maple Avenue, Oakfield.  Entombment will follow in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum. Basom - Charles E. Reno, 32, of Basom, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, (May 31, 2016) at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, in Amherst due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. 

Mr. Reno was born December 19, 1983 in Ogdensburg, a son of Ronnie and Martha (Newberry) Reno of Albion.

Chuck was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Albion.  He loved movies, Stephen King novels, painting, working in his yard, and tinkering around the house.  Most of all, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, and son.

He is survived by his wife, Anne-Marie (Weller) Reno.  The two were married July 3, 2006 in Ogdensburg.

Surviving along with his wife and parents are his children, Thomas and Rebecca Reno both of home; a brother, Raymond Reno of PA; sisters, Angel (Charles Sr.) Munoz of TX, Elizabeth (Jason) Lord of Darien, Lisa (Francisco) Duarte of Rochester, and Jennifer (Christopher) Hammons of Albion; nieces and nephews, Meagan, Marcus, and Charlie Munoz, Hayleigh and Connor Lord, Logan and Emma Dehn.

There will be no prior visitation.  Family and friends are invited to attend Chuck’s Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday (June 11, 2016) at Victory Baptist Church, 3713 Clarendon Road, Albion.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Reno Family.

Bergen - Warren Joseph Hunt, Sr., 76, of Bergen, a cement truck driver for 35 years at Manitou Construction in Rochester, died Friday, June 3, 2016 at his home, in Bergen.

Mr. Hunt was born October 11, 1939 in Churchville, a son of the late George and Caroline (Pimm) Hunt.

He was a lifetime farmer and member of Teamsters Local 398 in Rochester, the Churchville Loyal Order of Moose and the Farm Bureau.  He was an avid hunter, loved country music, playing euchre, deserts and meeting friends for coffee.  He participated in church league softball and was known as "Slugger" to some.  He was on the Dolomite Bowling Team.

He is survived by his wife, Susan A. (McGee) Hunt, whom he married on October 6, 1962; 4 children, Nancy (Robert Havens) Hunt of Ontario, Warren (Lauren) Hunt, Jr. of Byron, Diane (Tom) Corcoran of Caledonia and Joanne (Tim) Horine of Pavilion;  5 grandchildren, Mathew Horine, Lindsay Horine, Hannah Hunt, Hailey Hunt and Heidi Hunt; 4 sisters, Harriett Esten of Oakfield, Carolyn (John) Langdon of Clifton, Caroline (Dave) Bierbrauer of Mumford and Lucille Smith of NC; a brother Fred (Cathy) Hunt of Churchville; several nieces and nephews. 

He was the brother of the late George Hunt, Irv Hunt and Doris (Jack) Rowlinson.

Patrick Joseph Pedro, age 57, of Cazenovia, NY, passed away on May 28, 2016, after a difficult battle with ALS.

Patrick was born in Pendleton, Ore., on Dec. 7, 1958, and grew up in Oakfield, NY, where he later became the 2008 Inductee in the Oakfield-Alabama High School Alumni Hall of Fame. He received his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University -- magna cum laude and a Law degree from University of Notre Dame and received awards at graduation for legal writing and appellant advocacy. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Patrick was an attorney employed by Bond, Schoeneck and King in Syracuse in 1984, became a partner in 1993 and practiced there his entire career until his retirement at the end of 2014. He practiced primarily in the areas of business law and health care law, and his clients ranged from start up companies to some of the most prominent individuals and businesses in central and northern New York State. At BS&K, he was deputy Dept. chair of the Business Law Dept., chair of the Health Law Practice Group and the Firm's Marketing Partner. Patrick was a graduate of Leadership Greater Syracuse, and a recipient of the 40 under 40 Award in its inaugural year to name just a couple of his recognitions in his professional life.

Patrick enjoyed his family life in the Fayetteville and Manlius area, where he was a member of the FM Education Foundation, worshipped and served at Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville.

He was a proponent and patron of the arts. Whether as a performer, board member or audience member the arts were a very important part of Patrick's personal and community life. He served more than 20 years on the Board of the Syracuse Opera Company, some of that time as its president and served as a trustee and president of the Everson Museum of Art. Patrick loved performing as well, participating in numerous shows with the Central New York Community Theatre, including the Shakespeare Festival, Appleseed Productions and The Talent Co.

Every relationship was approached with love and respect, always making others' days and lives better. He not only cherished life but truly cherished his role in the lives of everyone around him.

He is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Julie; and daughters, Melissa and Maria; son-in-law, Jordan Levin; his mother, Margaret Pedro; brothers, Michael, Jeffrey and Andrew Pedro; and sister, Catherine Garrison; and nine nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Pedro.

Burial was in Fayetteville Cemetery.
