The Stafford Historical Society’s next monthly meeting will be at 7 p.m. on June 22 at the Town Hall, 8903 Route 237.
Our program will be “WOMEN SOLDIERS OF THE CIVIL WAR” — a presentation by Joyce Thompson-Hovy, who will appear in full regalia of what a woman soldier would have worn at that time.
Joyce, upon graduating college and teaching school for 40 years, found a great interest in American History. She then became a Civil War reenactor and educator. The public is invited.
