Today's Poll: Should mobile phone makers be barred from selling fully encrypted smartphones?

By Howard B. Owens
Tim Miller

The first person who proclaims "if you don't have anything to hide, you shouldn't be worried about your phones being read" will get a big fat negative vote, and a suggestion to really, really learn about the concept of personal liberty.

Howard - if you happen to find out who they are (one or two might be brave enough to fess up), try going to their houses and digging through their garbage bins on collection day....see how quickly they come running out screaming "what the h*** are you doing?"

Simply respond "if you've got nothing to hide, why do you care"?

Gary, so you are ok with the police going into your house to just look around at anytime and with no warrant? If you don't have anything to hide, you say they should be allowed to just stop by and look around?

So Gary, you would be in favor of a police action whereby the police would search homes once a year or so, just to make sure we have nothing to hide? People like you helped create the police state we now have.

John & Frank,
I stole the quote directly from Tim Miller's post above, most people probably recognized the sarcasm!!
FYI: I voted "no" and I did not help create the "police state" that we are living in! (I just wanted to have "a big fat negative vote" and a lecture about the concept if personal liberty!
