There were no traffic control devices at the intersection.
No citations were issued.

All four patients were transported to UMMC by Mercy EMS for evaluation and treatment. None appeared seriously injured.
The parking lot layout @
The parking lot layout @ Batavia Downs has a lot to be desired. There are no clear markings as to who is supposed to stop to yield. Driving through many parts of it are like driving in a gravel pit.
Even though there are no clear markings, it's a parking lot and people need to use caution. Slow the EFF down. People blast their way through that parking lot...ridiculous!
It happens in every parking
It happens in every parking lot Doug. Even ones with clear markings it happens.
It sure does. Top's parking
It sure does. Top's parking lot is a perfect example. Lines are clearly marked and people still go whipping across parking-space lines, cutting off people traversing the driving lanes.
Mary and I were talking about parking lot problems because she works at the Waterloo outlet mall and that parking lot is huge. She sees accidents there all the time. I'm pretty sure that most parking lot speed limits are about 5 MPH.
Wow, Doug ~ Mary has a LONG
Wow, Doug ~ Mary has a LONG drive to work. I went for the 1st time early this summer and didn't realize how far away it "seemed" to be. We went back roads (can't remember which route), but took the scenic one.
Yes, parking lots are bad. My son is 9 yrs. old and I still have him hold my hand and be aware. Tops in Batavia is definitely bad.
Yep, it's about 73 miles each
Yep, it's about 73 miles each way for Mary. I drive 53 miles each way. She uses the thruway (EZpass) and makes pretty good time. Giving up a job that pays well and has full benefits is not an option these days.
