Teens taking the plunge into Indian Falls, Sheriff's deputies responding
By Billie Owens
Teenagers are reportedly jumping into the falls behind the Indian Falls Log Cabin Restaurant and Sheriff's deputies are responding. The restaurant is located at 1227 Gilmore Road in Corfu.
65 years, and I'm just finding out the Log Cabin's address is Corfu?
I ain't even gonna guess as to why I never knew that.

Thanks for all the info, everyone.
As a kid growing up in that area, we had 4 'local' destinations for "outside fun". Boulder Park, the "Feeder" (swimming area on the reservation), Indian Falls Lake, and the 'Falls' itself.
I do remember jumping off the top of the falls to the water below. I was 11-years old, and was with two of my sisters and my brother-in-law. I actually jumped twice, but chickened out on the 3rd attempt. Never jumped from there again. But, we still swam there ocassionally.
We spent every summer at Indian Falls Lake from 1964 through 1974 and I used to sneak off to the falls and jump and dive off it all the time. There was even an old tree on the far side with a block of wood way up high that we would dive from as well. One day my dad caught me out there with my buddies and tanned my hide!!! Those were some great summers. Thanks for the memories.
