Man on Thruway bridge was allegedly urinating on vehicles

A caller reports that a man who was standing on the Thruway bridge allegedly urinating on cars got into a maroon Ford Taurus car and drove to Federal Drive. He's outside the gate of the Federal Detention Center and a Sheriff's deputy is now out with him.

UPDATE 12:44 p.m.: He's in custody.

UPDATE 12:48 p.m.: The suspect lives on Kohlman Street in Rochester and is being charged with public lewdness and urinating in public.

Well Deb Wagner I'm not to sure what a man from Rochester taking a piss on a thruway bridge in the town of Batavia has to do with your ignorant comment is it the proximity to our beautiful city the people in the town where you work sounds like a nice gossiping little place you work at..Oh the ignorance...

I totally agree with you Howard. The free exchange of ideas san minor grammanical errors is essential to this forum. I contribute to other blogs where a simple spelling error or error in grammar brings out the Grammar Police that trounce the writer. This leads to some pretty nasty personality conflicts. Don't let this happen here.

TP, I've seen that happen, too. The grammar police have no place in any sort of discussion forum. Concentrate on the validity (or not) of the other person's points, but their personality and how the express themselves are not important.

If Mary and I saw a guy doing this from an overpass, I think we'd be laughing too hard to call the cops, which is what we did when we read this news feed. Maybe the 7 shot Manhattan had something to do with the fits of laughter :-)

Seriously though, Mark. I'm not 100% sure, but if I had to guess, I'd say it's a shortened version of the old saying, "Oh. THAT'S RICH!".

Don't know your age, or how much you get out, so I can't begin to presume why you never heard it.

Think of it like this: If somebody said to you 'That's gobbledy-gook" or 'You're pulling my leg", and you never heard that phrase, you'd be scratching your head trying to figure out what they were talking about. It's a phrase. That's all.

Please don't lose sleep over it.
