That didn't take long! Come
That didn't take long! Come on people open your eyes and pay attention. Motorcycles will be every where soon. Not blaming anyone, everyone needs to use more care. Hope the injured are ok.
As a motorcycle rider, I can
As a motorcycle rider, I can say that a lot of bike wrecks are the fault of the bike driver. Sometimes it's truly the fault of the 4 wheeled driver, but I see bike drivers try to operate their bike like it's a 4 wheeled vehicle. Bike drivers try to pass where they shouldn't, they tailgate, they jump lights and they commonly ride outside of their abilities and get into a situation they can't recover from.
Using the "SEE" method of bike riding is an invaluable tool. "Search/See, Evaluate, Execute." If you ride and don't keep yourself where you have time to do those three things, you probably aren't going to ride for very long.
Cage drivers aren't looking for motorcycles. The sooner you come to accept that fact, the safer you'll be on your bike. Your safety is your responsibility..become the ultimate defensive driver on a motorcycle. Warm weather is coming...see y'all on the road!

Or, as a brother said after
Or, as a brother said after getting t-boned by an unobservant car driver - "Don't bring a bike to a car fight." :-/
I can tell you from personal
I can tell you from personal experience that, both car operator's and motorcycle rider's are responsible. I can tell you I had two clueless driver's try to pull into my lane with me right beside their driver side front window both on the same day and windows down. Fortunately, I was paying attention and avoided the accident but, not a few (quite a few) choose words. Yes, alot of riders out there are conducting unsafe acts but, there are more four wheel drivers. Drivers text, distracted with electronic gadgets in the vehicle, larger retirement (elderly) population and a younger generation who believe they own the roads.
