I drove through there about
I drove through there about 5am and the road was clear..down to bare pavement. I wonder what happened.
I don't know, but it's a good
I don't know, but it's a good thing she had her seat belt on.
When I drove through at 9
When I drove through at 9 there were spots where there was a bit of snow blown off of the fields combined with spots of wet pavement. It was not what I would consider clear, though. Wonder what time the wind picked up?
This accident happened right
This accident happened right in front of me as I was on my way to work at UMMC. I pulled over put my 4way flashers on and immediately called 911 as there was no one there at that time. By the time the call was complete, two or three other kind people has also stopped and assisted me in getting to the vehicle to provide support for her and do a quick assessment. It was very windy and many treacherous patches of blowing snow & black ice. Fortunately, the seat belt likely saved her life.
I was extremely disappointed that numerous vehicles drove on by not even slowing down. I guess the headlights of the vehicle pointing into the sky facing the wrong direction, and a vehicle pulled over with flashers on did not warrant getting their attention. Thank you to those gentlemen who did stop.
I wish her a speedy & full recovery.
