Batavia PD seeks assistance in identifying Dollar General robbery suspect

I heard earlier today (rumor) that when this photo was released, it was talked about an the man identified on facebook. I just don't remember his name. I honestly thought he'd be caught.

I am not trying to be a smart ,,,, but this picture does not go with the eye witness report of what the guy looked like at the time. This guy does not fit that report. Where is the sweatshirt? Where is the afro? What Happened to the spanish guy? just want to know about eye witness reporting????

I post what I hear on the scanner, so if the description changes, I report that accordingly. But the thing to remember is that when a crime like this occurs, the victim and witnesses are typically so flabbergasted that details of their accounts and descriptions change and that is not uncommon. The police are astute in their investigation and are skilled at questioning, so again, the details can change. "It all happened so fast."

The black male suspect morphed into a Hispanic male or light-skinned black man. The jacket does appear to be Carhartt-like, but doesn't look to be camel-colored, but the video still is black and white, so it's hard to say. The "small Afro" is probably a description of a haircut that is closely cropped, think Will Smith. He may have a mustache, but it must be thin because it's hard to see in this picture.

The police have to work with what they have and need the public's help in doing so.

I think too, that people on this forum need to remember that this is a PUBLIC forum and no doubt is accessed by kids and even though *'s replaced letters, that even a 4th grader knows the word being used here.

Some site owner editing should occur on post #1.

What's your point? If the kid already knows the words, he or she probably heard them from mom and dad. What are words going to do to them, corrupt them for life, Ray? I don't see foul language being used here excessively. Are you just trolling again?

Come to think of it, some of the greatest works of literature are laced with foul language, suggestive phrasing and depictions of sex and violence. The bible comes to mind.

RE: #9 -- We do not edit comments. Period. People can edit their own comments if they so choose. If a posted comment is offensive and/or abusive we delete the entire comment. That rarely occurs and most people are able to police themselves. I assure you I have delicate sensibilities.
