Up to 7 years in prison all over not wanting to show a receipt.... the choices people make these days....smh

Now is the time for everyone to send letters to Noonan about how they would feel about this woman being given a slap on the wrist. With all the obvious twisting of truth and plays for sympathy, the max should be given, anything less will just encourage others to do the same thing.

Tim its not so simple as that. Its up to 7 years for feeling the entitlement to defy reasonable requests and working herself into a rage over something inconsequential then letting that rage out on a helpless older lady that obviously wouldnt be able to fight back. Not really simple at all. And further if she hadn't been found guilty what would that have said to her and people like her. That its ok to rage out of control and take it out on defenseless victims just because you feel slighted? Not a good precedent to make dont you think?

If she just simply showed the receipt... there would have been no issue....

Doug that would not be in her best interest at all.

Due process was carried out, she has been convicted, ergo justice served.

As far as sentence goes, [Probation Depart Pre-sentence report + Victim Impact Statement + State Guidelines = Sentence (What ever it is going to be)]

There is a presentence investigation requirement that has to be done. That takes time and there are others that need one ahead of her. The date is reasonable.

granny basher is convicted, another first for genesee county, the granny basher law. i hope no body goes out bashing grannies if they dont like the next part. who said probation dept?

Matt, the Probation department is charged with doing pre-sentence investigations, no one implied probation as the main sentence that I know of

i have a question ... if she can afford to post bail out of her own pocket ...
then why do i and the rest of us taxpayers have to pay for a public defender for her ???

I have an answer Bob.....she doesnt have a public defender this lawyer was provided by members of her church or the church itself.
