WILLIAMSVILLE -- Jane Corwin, sucessful businesswoman and the unanimously endorsed Republican, Conservative, and Independence Party nominee for New York's 26th Congressional District, was unanimously endorsed this evening by TEA New York, the leading Western New York Tea Party organization.
"I appreciate the support of TEA New York and all Western New Yorkers who are committed to cutting spending and changing the way Washington does business," Corwin said. "For too long, Washington politicians have failed to take the lead on cutting spending and reforming our tax system, and individuals such as the members of TEA New York have led while career politicians continue to follow. If honored to be Western New York’s next representative in Washington, I will fight to cut spending and reduce taxes so we can strengthen our economy and create jobs in both the short- and long-term.”
Corwin received the unanimous endorsement after attending a TEA New York candidate forum this evening.
"Tonight, TEA New York sent a strong message by unanimously endorsing Jane Corwin for the 26th Congressional District," stated Rus Thompson of TEA New York. "Her message of reducing spending, creating jobs and (reining) in runaway government programs is exactly what our country needs. We look forward to electing her as our voice in Washington."

Jane Corwins record so far of, "reducing spending, creating jobs and reigning in runaway government programs", is to reduce spending her own money on her campaign by having Republican House Speaker come to town for a campaign fundraiser, creating several jobs for those caterining the food and parking the cars out in front of some rich neighbor's home for the fund raiser scheduled a week before the special election and reigning in runaway government programs by failing to oppose the airline safety reforms amendment before it was passed by the Republican House Leadership, led by House Speaker John Boehner.
That amendment effectively killed those safety measures championed by the Families of Continental Flight 3407" that crashed into a home in Clarence Center. The safety measures would prevent another tragedy such as this from happening again by extending training time for pilots, closer scrutiny of pilot performance and training standards and limiting the hours a pilot flys in a day.
Ms. Corwin chose to remain silent before the passage of the amendment, her campaign instead busied itself scheduling a fundraiser with the Republican leader for the week before the specila election.

To be fair, I didn't see Davis or Hockul come out against the airline bill before it was passed either.
And shock of shocks!! A candidate has a fund raiser! Boy, that has not happened before.

Davis and Hochul didn't sped the week before linin up the Republican House Speaker for a fundraiser...the fudraiser scheduling and it's timing simpy raises the question of a qud pro quo... The Republican Leader's staff and Corwin's people certainly knew that the vote was coming and that the Republican leadership was on trck to pass it...Continental Flight 3407 went down in Clarence Center in the Republican Candidates District, former Representitive Chris Lee a Republican was one of the champions for the safety regulation changes...Corwin not being given a heads up on the vote is a measure of the regard she is held in by the Republican Leader, her not knowing before hand is an indication of what we can expect from her should she be elected.

Both Davis and Hockul live in Erie County and claim to be on top of everything and care about everything. In fact you would think that they would have come out against this early to show that. Where was the Democratic leadership on this? Have they written off Hockul to the point of not even bothering with her?
Point is that none of them came out early. And if you're really fair, Davis should get the pass on this since he has no party in DC to feed him issues.

shamelessly pulling the flight 3407 tragedy into the campaign is exactly what turns people off to guys like Jack Davis. I know you have argued in past posts that you are not paid by his campaign, but all your statements could have passed as Jack's own words. I for one am turned off by it.

Jeff it was the Corwin campaign that sent out the press release on the day that the vote was taken that she had secured House Speaker John Boehner as the headline speaker for her May fundraiser. As the appointed Republican choice to run for the seat who was in contact with the Speaker on the same day the vote took place I would have thought she would have been told that the amendment had the support of the Republican Speaker and the Republican leaders who pusshed the amendment through. As someone who has friends living in and around Clarence Center and having watched the coverage following the crash of that plane and knowing that the saftey measures called for in that particular amendment will prevent it from happening again is personal to me considering that if those regulations had been in place at the time the overwhleming odds are it woul not have happened. If you think that it is shameless to bring the matter up, you are entitled to your opinion. As for my support of Jack Davis, I am 100% for him. However, the opinions I have voiced over this matter are mine and you are welcome to accept or reject the premise as you see fit. Neither Hochul or Davis spent the days leading to the vote were engaged in an effort to have the Speaker Boehner come to town to speak on their behalf....Jane Corwin did, so the question of timing is at the very least a matter of interest. I will concede that the question of a quid pro quo on the part of Corwim and Boehner is speculation and I respectfully withdraw the question.
