Jane Corwin releases first television commercial

What was her family's "small business"? A deli, paint store, bakery? Or was it: "As a member of the entrepreneurial family" that founded The Talking Phonebook, Jane Corwin helped grow this Buffalo area company to almost 700 employees before it was sold to Hearst Publishing in 2004?"
Damn that's a lot of employees for a small Mom and Pop local down home folksy business. Peter's Delicatessen was a small business. Ann's Paint Store was a small business. Stomper's Bakery was a small business. "The Talking Phonebook?" I don't know what that was but I'm sure Hearst Publishing took a huge bath on it.
And how old is she? I couldn't find that info online although she claims: "based on her thirty-six years of private sector experience." So I'm guessing, fifty or fifty five? And what kind of qualification is this: "As a member of the entrepreneurial family ?" Couldn't a reprobate sibling or crazy aunt claim the same? Sheesh, very weak qualifications and even weaker commercial, if you ask me, which you didn't.

Somebody, I think it was Mark Potwora, caught her last week on that, George. She said she's been creating jobs for 36 years...that would have put her at 16 or so.

Nice to see her pumping all that family money into television so soon, you know, bolstering the local economy. At least she's proving to the GOP that they didn't pick a rich kid for nothin'.

Meanwhile, David Bellavia is out humping for petition signatures. I wouldn't vote for the man, but I do respect him. He's intellectually honest and I really thought the GOP and the Conservative parties were going to pay him more than lipservice. I hope he gets himself a line and I hope he pulls more votes than Ms. 'Wealth Gets You a Ballot Line' Corwin.

Bellavia was noticed by the media as a possible and serious candidate. I had to laugh when I read that the GOP interviewed Corwin and other significant candidates and a few who's names weren't even mentioned.

It's Christine O'Donnell with a blond wig.

All I learned from Jane's commercial is that she nods her head in agreement with everyone and she has met John Candy's brother.

Jane was born 2/29/64 and "based on her thirty-six years of private sector experience." Do lemonade stands count? My Grandpa was a Carpenter and I watched him work in his shop when I was 11, the same age that Jane began her private sector experience, but that didn't make me a Carpenter. Hell, I didn't even know I was having a private sector experience. I just loved my Grandma and Grandpa and they usually had candy stashed somewhere. Although, I can build some good stuff now if I can stay focused long enough.

George:

I found that site last week when I first commented on her experience vs age. Did you notice that between 1987 and 1990 she was concurrently working on/at:

MBA, Finance, Pace University
Secretary/Treasurer, The Talking Phone Book
Research Director, Henry Ansbacher Incorporated

Makes it sound like 3 full time jobs.

On the weekends she wears a red, white & blue outfit and flies around in an invisible jet.

Mark, I'm sure she is a nice lady and I have no doubt she will be elected since she was born into a mom and pop small business that employed 700 people, and she delivered phonebooks. Damn, I delivered newspapers for awhile but Grandpa's small business only employed one other person most of the time. Are the Democrats unable to find anyone worthy, or what? Someone needs to step up and they don't need to be very qualified if someone with deep pockets gets behind them. The proof is in Jane's Pudding.

Of course she's a nice lady, she's a Lutheran!

Of course she'll win, there's no one running against her.

Is anyone really qualified for the office they run for?

The Dems are doing final interviews this weekend. We're not in a hurry to just pick the wealthiest applicant like our friends in the GOP :)
