Just my opinion, in a perfect world, the commissioner would strive to maintain the reputation of the institution of professional baseball. Seeing as there was no previous ban on steroids and in a effort to be fair to those players, who didn't realize using the performance enhancing drugs at this level of the game was just wrong in general, the commissioner should establish a drop dead date, all those found to have steroids in their system after this date would receive a life time ban from professional baseball.
