Today's Poll: How satisfied are you with the federal government?

By Howard B. Owens

I had to choose neutral because I really don't have a problem with the government. Some of their employees are lazy and careless, just like in the private sector and the two party political system with self serving, hold your nose when you vote, candidates gets under my skin a bit, but the government itself is ok. It's just not liberal socialist leftwing batshit crazy enough for me.

I am very dissatisfied with the political segment of the government (NYS is the same BTW). Senators and Congressmen become removed from the average person, because as the years go by most of their contact outside of government is with lobbyists and campaign supporters, mostly because they feel the need to raise huge sums of money in order to be re-elected. If you're constantly bombarded with certain issues, anyone will begin to believe them. Until we get the money and privileged access out of the political process and put term limits in place, we won't have very good government.
A little light reading on the subject:

Neutral. I consider myself pretty middle of the road on political issues, but I don't remember G.W. getting bashed one year and 3 months in to his presidency.
But because the new administration is trying to do at least something, instead of being a puppet, everyone is up in arms. I'm not opposed to opposition but I think more time is needed.
NYS is a completely different issue. Patterson and others need to go.

Over 100 people with at least a "somewhat or better" satisfaction with our federal governement and yet no defense or justification. Stripped of White House talking points, mainstream media spin, and staged townhall meetings the results speak for themselves.
