There will be no charges filed against an Alabama man who reportedly shot two dogs April 3.
A State Police investigation concluded the dogs may have been ill, as the man claimed. The dogs belonged to him and his wife, and there is no law against killing your own dogs if you believe they are ill, said Rebecca Gibbons, spokeswoman for the State Police.
On April 3, a woman on Bloomingdale Road called police after she came home and found her dogs shot. The woman's husband reportedly told police he was the one who shot them.
The case is closed, Gibbons said.
There isn't a law against
There isn't a law against shooting your own dogs if you believe they are ill.........but what kind of person would do that?
I guess the kind of person who also didn't tell his wife.
Take them to a vet and have them euthanized. There is a big difference between hearing your dog yelp when it is hit by a bullet and silence when it is put down humanely.
Did he throw them out with the trash too? Disgusting.
There's a big difference in
There's a big difference in price Tim. Not that I agree with what happened but I can understand it.
There is a big difference in
There is a big difference in price and I suppose if you hunt or if you are used to butchering animals for food that it might make sense to you to shoot them, but why leave them out. Why wouldn't one bury them right away?
Disturbing, yes. However, we
Disturbing, yes. However, we don't know all the details. It's not something I would do & I certainly feel bad for the situation. I wondered too, why he left them out for his wife to see. Imagine the shock? Sad.
Do you think that if he
Do you think that if he called his vet and asked the vet if he could help him out instead of shooting the dogs......the vet would of refused?? Or referred him to someone who could help him?
I've had to put 5 dogs down......and have never been charged.
He didn't care what the cost was.....
He shot and left them for his wife to see.
Like I said....Disgusting.
