Of course I don't know how this accident happened but I've said it before and I'll say it again about this intersection and every intersection like it. RUMBLE GROOVES need to be put in place for the north and south lanes. Drivers typically run through the intersection in these 2 directions. I live just north of suicide corners in East Bethany and it's the same situation there. Cutting rumble grooves into the pavement would be an extremely inexpensive measure to take.
I think it's absolutely irresponsible to ignore the problems at these intersections. Cutting the rumble strips would certainly not be a waste if they save even one life. How much is a life worth to you if it's someone from your family?
