Ok, I grew up in the hills of Pennsylvania and I got to tell you I never saw cabbage like this before! Care-A-Van was blessed this evening by local farmers ( I apologize I do not know which farmer)s donated corn for our cookout this evening at East Main Street Parksite Apartments along with fresh cabbage , zuchini and beets for the folks to take home as well. Thank you to these farmers and all who help make a difference here in the city! We will be back there Sunday afternoon at 2:30 for street church.

Sorry, Karen, I don't make them.
I have friends who do and generously share their effort in the kitchen and one friend, in particular, sho doesn't have the patience to roll them and makes it like a lasagna. Delicious.
Bea, it sounds so much
Bea, it sounds so much easier, to make this dish like Lasagna. I'll have to try it. Yummy
Ive harvested my first Eggplants from my garden. I'm very happy with them. They are tender, and delicious as well. I sliced them, dip them in egg, seasoned bread crumbs with garlic, and fry them. Then When they are about done, I sprinkle grated cheese on them. MMM MMM Good.
Hey I would be glad to accept
Hey I would be glad to accept an invitation to dinner for one of those delicious dishes.
Hey Peter.. they were not anrgy at all, it was a hot muggy night out.. the kids had a great time.. they were busy racing their bicycles and asking Larry to do wheelies in his wheelchair.. which he obliged . He had just hollered at this same kids a week ago for leaving their bikes in the middle of the sidwalk.. but everyone got together last night and enjoyed the night out and we were able to share about safety with these young boys.
I'm sure they weren't I just
I'm sure they weren't I just like when pictures don't match descriptions. Its humorous. A single point in time is never a complete reflection of a series of events.

Hey I would be glad to accept an invitation to dinner for one of those delicious dishes.
If Karen will share some of her bounty, I'll be glad to cook :)
Love the eggplant recipe, the only thing lacking is a fresh mint leave on each slice immediately after you turn it to fry the other side.

I like humor Peter.. and I love your last statement.. about a single point in time is never a complete reflection of a series of events.. So many great things happen on Care-A-Van writings, it is hard to capture all the moments. I do a newsletter for Care-A-van that has great stories of the events, just let me know if anyone is interested and I will be you on our email list.
We had a great night out at Street Jam with Northgate this week. There were sure some Kodak moments there as well.
Have a great week-end all
