Once we were represented by "The Most Respected Member of Congress" and that meant something then. Nowadays, sadly it wouldn't mean much, the bar is pretty damn low. The last 2 Republican representatives of this area, Collins and Lee have been disgraces. Kathy Hochul has flip-flopped on Constitutional issues and took a job as a lobbyist between her Congressional term and Lt Governor. Barber Conable has to be mourning this sorry state of affairs.
