Weather Update: Snowy roads in Alabama

First post from the road. Haven't seen any accidents and nothing has come over the scanner yet, so that is a good thing. Based on this photo taken on Rt 63 in Alabama, it is strongly advised to stay at home.

There will be more updates from around Genesee County to follow.

Thanks for posting this photo. I am a former Genesee County resident. Born in Batavia, lived in Basom, on Lewiston Rd. I am currently working as a government contractor in Kuwait, and love reading your newspaper. I saved this picture onto my desktop. It reminds me so much of what I am missing! Thanks again - Sue (Hall) Richards. SAIC, JLI - Kuwait MRAP Program. God Bless everyone and Merry Christmas! richardssl@saic.com

Susan: So glad to hear that we're a source of news for you while you're so far from home. I can also understand that sentiment of "missing" scenes like this when you're half way around the world. Maybe you can send us some photos of how things look where you are. We would love to post them on the site. Thanks again!

I would love to send photos. Unsure how to attach to this posting. Send me your email address, and I'll send some.
