The 5th Annual Caryville Inn Turkey Trot took place on Thursday under chilly, rainy conditions. Despite the continuous mist that persisted throughout the race, 192 runners and walkers braved the elements as the event kicked off promptly at 9 a.m.
The overall male winner was Brandon Rebert, clocking in at 18:17. Kimberly Mills claimed the title of overall female winner with a time of 21:07.

The Caryville Inn in Oakfield sponsored its annual Turkey Trot on Thursday morning.
It was a new, and for the first-time certified, course for this year's event.
Brandon Rebert won another local 5K today. This time the Turkey Trot in Oakfield, hosted by the Caryville Inn. He finished with a time of 18:02.
Kim Mills, also a regular winner of local 5Ks, was the top female runner today.
The sixth annual Caryville Inn 5K & Turkey Trot will be held on Thanksgiving Day -- Thursday, Nov. 22 -- in memory of K9 "Destro."
Registration begins at 8 a.m., with race starting at 9 at Caryville Inn, located at 25 Main St. in the Village of Oakfield.
Proceeds benefit the Genesee County Sheriff's Office K9 Fund.
Preregistration is $20, with T-shirts available for participants while supplies last.
