Washington Towers is hosting an Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 26th. We will be hosting an Open House to show our beautiful building to the community! Take a tour of an apartment, ASK questions of our staff, MEET other residents, see the amenities we have to offer, LISTEN to music and HEAR a live broadcast by WBTA personalities. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Mercy Flight Events in Batavia
On Father’s Day June 19thMercy Flight will be hosting an Open House at our Batavia Base located at the Genesee County Airport from 9:00 until 2:00. Many local emergency service agencies, such as the Sheriff’s Department (child ID’s), NY State Police (rollover simulator), Lake Plains Community Health Care and Genesee County Emergency Management will be joining us. It will be a great day to bring dad out for pancakes at the Rotary Club Fly in Breakfast and then stop over and visit with Mercy Flight and local emergency responders.

In addition to the open house Mercy Flight in partnership with The Batavia Downs will be hosting the 1stannual Cars and Guitars for Mercy Flight event on July 9th. This all day event will feature a car and motorcycle show in the infield along with four great bands, The Buffalo Roadshow, the Trolls, The coupe de Villes and Savage Cabbage. Great food will be available and all attendees (over 18) will receive $5 casino free play. Car show pre-registration is available online at www.mercyflight.org
To wrap up the summer Mercy Flight and The Batavia Downs will again be hosting the Hackers for Helicopters Golf outing. This will be the 3rdyear for the event which will include Golfing at the Batavia Country Club and dinner at the Batavia Downs.

BATAVIA YOUTH BUREAU HOSTS OPEN HOUSE
The Batavia Youth Bureau is hosting an Open House on Wednesday May 12th, from
6 – 8 pm. Families are invited to visit the Youth Center and check out the wonderful free services offered to area youths, ages 10 –20. The Youth Center is located at 12 MacArthur Drive, across from Batavia High School.
Many fun activities are planned, including a pool tournament, cookie decorating, and basketball, on our outdoor basketball courts. You can also try bowling on the WII, or Football and Rock Band on Playstation. Our Time Warner sponsored Computer/Technology Center will also be open. Refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public. The Youth Bureau offers a fun, supervised place for youth to go after school, Monday through Friday from 2:30 – 8 pm, while school is in session, and 1 – 8 pm on vacation days.

Genesee Community College, 1 College Road, will host an free open house from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 17.
Interested participants will have a chance to take a full campus tour and learn about all that the college has to offer. The event will include brief presentations by representatives from Admissions, Financial Aid and College Village.

Genesee ARC invites area residents, neighbors and families to view the Genesee ARC Community Center improvements firsthand during an art exhibit and open house, March 11, from 5:00pm to 7:30pm in celebration of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. The Community Center, 38 Woodrow Road, Batavia, is the former St. Mary’s School. It was purchased by Genesee ARC two years ago.
The Art Show, entitled “Celebrating Art-abilities” was made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, administered by the Genesee-Orleans Regional Arts Council.
A “Meet the Artist” event is planned during the open house, along with light refreshments and tours. Executive Director Donna Saskowski will be making a special announcement at 6:30 p.m. Anyone requesting additional information or to see the art show after March 11, may contact ARC Director of Development Shelley Falitico at 585-343-1123 or sfalitico@rochester.rr.com..
In celebration of Catholic Schools Week St. Joseph School of Batavia will be hosting an Open House on Sunday, January 31st. Everyone is invited to join the celebration beginning with a Family Mass at 11:30. All are then encouraged to join us at the School for a 1PM luncheon reception and Open House. Genesee ARC is hosting an open house this Saturday, June 20th at 11 Coe Avenue. The community is invited to tour the residence which is home to six young women with disabilities.
The 3,000 square foot home was funded with grant monies targeted at innovative services for individuals with disabilities. It features an open floor plan and is fully accessible.
The open house runs from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a ribbon cutting and introduction of residents scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Refreshments will also be served. All are welcome to attend.

The Genesee Region Independent Living Center will host a Holiday Open House on Friday December 12th from 12-4 pm at 61 Swan St in Batavia. It is a time of gathering to come and see what services we offer to the community and what we are all about.
Santa will be there to meet and greet everyone. Refreshment will be served.
