American Legion's flag disposal ceremony returns to Northwoods Sportsman Club for the 9th annual event

The Botts-Fiorito Post #576, American Legion announces the 9th Annual “Flag Disposal Ceremony” to be held at Northwoods Sportsman Club.

This years Flag Disposal day is on Sunday, August 11 at the Northwoods Sportsman Club starting at 1 p.m.

Old flags or flags that are torn or damaged beyond service life may be dropped off at the American Legion, 53 West Main Street, Le Roy or at the Northwoods Sportsman Club, 8402 Gulf Rd. Le Roy the day of the Ceremonial burn.

ALL are invited to attend and participate.

Refreshments and light lunch provided courtesy of the Northwoods Sportsman Club. Our thanks to all involved in making this event possible and for hosting this much anticipated program.

Drop off worn, faded, unpresentable U.S. flags at Le Roy's American Legion post, disposal ceremony is Sunday

This year’s annual ceremonial disposal of U.S. flags by the Botts Fiorito American Legion Post #576  in Le Roy will be conducted in partnership with the Northwoods Sportsman’s Club with support from the Le Roy Fire Department. 

  • Fifth Annual Disposal of Flags Ceremony -- Sunday, Aug. 9th at 1 p.m. SHARP!
  • Northwoods Sportsman’s Club, 8402 Gulf Road, Le Roy

Old, faded or otherwise unpresentable U.S. flags may be dropped off at the American Legion Post Home, 53 W. Main St. An outside receptacle is available for your use.

All are invited to attend while maintaining social distancing.

Le Roy American Legion to hold ceremony to dispose of worn U.S. flags Aug. 5 at Northwoods Sportsmen Club

On Sunday, Aug. 5, the Botts-Fiorito Post #576, American Legion in Le Roy will be conducting the fourth annual Ceremony for the Disposal of Unserviceable Flags.
 
The ceremony will take place at the Northwoods Sportsmen Club, located at 8402 Gulf Road in Le Roy.
 
Anyone with flags that need to be disposed of may drop them off at the American Legion Post, located at 53 W. Main St.
 
Anyone interested in attending and joining in this ceremony are invited to be at the Northwoods Sportsman Club at 1 o’clock sharp, with the ceremonial presentation conducted by the Post Commander, followed immediately with the burning of the flags.
