City firefighters dispatched to 16 Harvester Ave. for smoke in the residence.
No fire seen.
UPDATE 8:26 a.m.: Second alarm, second and fourth platoons requested to the scene.
UPDATE 8:33 a.m.: Fire located in the ceiling on the first floor on the A side.
UPDATE 8:41 a.m.: Fire under control.
UPDATE 9:21 a.m.: Red Cross being notified for four adults and three children.
UPDATE 12:25 p.m.: All fire units put back in service.
A tree is reportedly on fire in the area of 218 Skye Road on the Tonawanda Indian Reservation.
Alabama Fire dispatched.
A possible structure fire is reported at 3643 Dodgeson Road in Alexander. The caller reported turning on the furnace and the basement started filling with smoke.
Alexander and Town of Batavia fire departments are responding. The location is between Alexander and Wortendyke roads.
UPDATE 9:43 a.m.: A firefighter on scene reports nothing is showing.
UPDATE 9:45 a.m.: Residents say the house is now full of smoke.
UPDATE 9:49 a.m.: A firefighter says the furnace temperature gauge "reads nothing, so I don't know what we've got."
UPDATE 9:51 a.m.: A firefighter says "we're gonna hit 'em with an exhaust fan, that way we can suck some of this (smoke) out." It is advised that another responding unit come to the scene in non-emergency mode.
UPDATE 10:01 a.m.: A fire chief says "if you've got interior (firefighters) send them." A crew is going to check out upstairs.
UPDATE 10:25 a.m.: The situation was deemed a possible furnace malfunction and all units are back in service.
A transformer is reportedly on fire along Creamery Road.
Bergen Fire Department is dispatched.
UPDATE 11:08 a.m.: Pole #8198 has three transformers on it. The transformers were on fire but now the fire is out. National Grid being notified.
City firefighters are being dispatched to South Jackson Street in the area of Garfield Avenue for a report of wires arcing.
The smell of smoke is reported coming from a house at 1239 Judge Road in Alabama. There is there a power outage there and the residents have been using a generator, so the smell could be electrical in nature.
Alabama Fire Department is on scene.
The location is between Alleghany Road and Kenyon Avenue. Firefighters are going to use a thermal imaging camera to check for any hot spots, but there is no apparent fire.
UPDATE 2:30 p.m.: There was nothing abnormal found. All fire units back in service.
At 10:54 p.m., a house fire was reported at 465 Bloomingdale Road, Basom, on the Tonawanda Indian Reservation.
The house was unoccupied.
A passerby saw flames coming from inside the house and notified neighboring homeowners who called 9-1-1.
No word on the damage to the house, but responders last night reported the house was fully involved and no interior firefighters were used to battle the blaze.
Alabama and Indian Falls fire departments were initially dispatched, with mutual aid from Akron, Batavia, Newstead and Pembroke. Also responding were Genesee County Emergency Services, the Sheriff's Office and Mercy EMS.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
A house fire has been reported 465 Bloomingdale Road, Basom.
Alabama and Indian Falls fire departments dispatched. Akron is asked to fill in at Indian Falls' hall.
The fire was called in by the resident and a neighbor.
UPDATE 11:02 p.m.: Bloomingdale Road is partially flooded. Units told to respond with caution. A chief on scene reports a full involved structure fire. A second alarm requested.
UPDATE 11:19 p.m.: City's FAST team was dispatched, but now put back in service. Alabama chief reports that there will be no interior firefighters used on this fire.
An electrical fire that is now out reported at 31 Ganson Ave., Batavia.
There is smoke in the basement.
Residents advised to evacuate the house.
City Fire Department responding.
A possible truck fire is reported near the juncture of routes 19 and 63. Pavilion Fire Department is responding. Traffic control is requested.
UPDATE 1:36 p.m.: "What we have here is a blown turbo," says a responder. It's been "shut off." They are holding the assignment to one engine, nonemergency mode. But traffic control is still necessary. They are asking for some "speedy dry."
A pole is reportedly on fire on Alexander Road, south of the overpass past the first railroad track on the west side.
It's apparently the same pole that caught on fire at 4 a.m., Wednesday.
Town of Batavia Fire Department responding.
City of Batavia Fire Department has responded to a commercial fire alarm at the p.w. minor company at 1 Treadeasy Ave. A firefighter on scene reports nothing showing, no smell of fire.
The alarm company has been contacted and is working to reset the alarm.
The smell of an electrical fire is coming from an apartment at 10537 Bethany Center Road in Bethany. The building is being evacuated.
Stafford Fire and Bethany fire departments are responding.
Alexander is to stand by in its hall for possible mutual aid.
UPDATE 7:52 a.m.: Alexander fire is asked to stand down.
UPDATE 7:59 a.m.: A chief on scene reports that the basement of the building is flooded, burning out the furnace, which apparently tripped a fire alarm.
UPDATE 8:07 a.m.: Stafford fire is standing down.
A kitchen grease fire was reported in the rear of the residence at 111 Liberty St. in the City of Batavia and its fire crews responded. Smoke was showing when they arrived, but the blaze was quickly extinguished.
The building was evacuated. Two people suffered second-degree burns, according to responders.
An ambulance is en route.
The location is between Central Avenue and Cherry Street.
UPDATE 9:24 p.m.: A Mercy Medic unit is called.
UPDATE 9:43 p.m.: City Ladder 15 is returning to quarters. Mercy Squad 2 is back in service. The burn victims have been transported to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

A large brush fire is reported at 7397 Evans Road in Bergen. The caller indicated it was heading toward a swamp.

UPDATE 6:01 p.m.: A firefighter on scene reports the fire was small and it is now out.
UPDATE 6:07 p.m.: The Bergen assignment is back in service.
A possible fire is reported in an upstairs apartment located at 335 Bank St. It's in the Northside Meadows Apartments, building A.

UPDATE 12:09 p.m.: It's burnt food, according to the firefighter on scene.
UPDATE 12:11 p.m.: All units are clearing the scene, back in service.
A caller reports that a controlled burn of a barn at 7521 Mechanic Street may be getting out of hand.
Byron and South Byron fire departments are dispatched.
UPDATE 7:11 p.m.: South Byron's response is cancelled. Byron fire back in service.
An SUV is reportedly on fire at the junction of Sumner and Fargo roads in Darien.
Darien Fire Department is responding.
UPDATE 3:47 p.m.: Fire is out. Darien crew back in service.
Multiple fire alarms are sounding within the Harvester industrial center building at 56 Harvester Ave. Also, alarms indicating water flow problems are sounding.
Batavia City Fire Department is on location.
UPDATE 11:51 a.m.: The alarm company is in communication with dispatch. There has been no mention of smoke or fire.
UPDATE 12:01 p.m.: City fire crews are back in quarters.
