HLOM Guest Speaker Series: Thomas Jefferson & the Times that Shaped Him

The Holland Land Office Museum is proud to host Greg Kinal and Don Reed, as they present: “Thomas Jefferson & the Times that Shaped Him.” The presentation travels through the life and events that made Thomas Jefferson into the figure that we know today. It will cover topics such as: his early life, Monticello, the Revolutionary period, and Jefferson’s thoughts on various social and political aspects. Mr. Kinal and Mr. Reed will also use quotes from Thomas Jefferson and discuss their relations to the events of today. The event is free to the public. RSVPs are encouraged but not required.

The Holland Land Office Museum is proud to welcome Mark Lozo from the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site in Buffalo, NY to give a presentation on how Theodore Roosevelt became the 26th President of the United States. His presentation entitled: 1901 Buffalo, the Birthplace of a New Presidency, will discuss Buffalo’s connection to this momentous event. Tickets are $3 per person.
