Paul G. Grazioplene, 43, of Batavia, faces charges of a felony DWI, resisting arrest and leaving the scene of a property damage accident following an alleged incident on Cedar Street about 9:25 last night. Grazioplene allegedly stuck a vehicle on Cedar and then drove off. A resident followed his car and notified police. Grazioplene was apparently still in his vehicle parked outside of his home when he was found by police. Grazioplene allegedly refused to take a breath test. He reportedly has a prior DWI arrest within the past 10 years. He was jailed without bail.

Jill L. Briska, 20, of Batavia faces a DWI charge following a minor traffic accident this morning about 1 at 100 W. Main St. Briska was issued an appearance ticket and released.

Already in jail on unspecified chargers, Christopher J. Wiegman, 20, of Bergen, was arrested today for allegedly dealing drugs.

Wiegman reportedly sold crack cocaine and prescription pills to under cover agents of the Local Drug Task force in late 2008.

The alleged sale came while agents were investigating the sale of crack cocaine and pills in both the City of Batavia and Bergen.

Wiegman was charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance. He is being held without bail.

The following arrests were made at the Dave Matthews concert at Darien Lake:

David J. Brooks, 21, of Fairport, charged with harassment for allegedly striking a security officer.

Nicholas P. Gardone, 20, of Fairport, is charged with petty larceny for allegedly stealing concert tickets from the box office.

Edmund J. Bracker, 20, of Pittsford, charged with petty larceny for allegedly striking cotton candy.

Christopher P. Greco, 21, of Pittsford, charged with petty larceny for allegedly stealing cotton candy.

Conor C. McNamara, 22, of East Aurora, charged with harrassment for allegedly stealing a security officer in the back of the head with his elbow.

Joshua A. Ray, 22, of Pittsford, charged with DWI for allegedly operating a motor vehicle in the parking lot while intoxicated.

Gregory J. Summar, 27, of Eden, charged with harassment for allegedly striking a security officer.

Larry J. Marling, 21, of Albion, is charged with harassment for allegedly throwing a security officer against a parked car.

Brooks and Marling were taken to Genesee County Jail and held on $200 bail.

Andrea Klein, 28, of Liverpool, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. The marijuana was reportedly found will investigating a motor vehicle accident in Pembroke this morning about 12:30 a.m.

Patrick Klein, 29, of Liverpool, is charged with criminal contempt and possession of marijuana following a traffic accident in Pembroke this morning about 12:30 a.m. The cause of the accident is reportedly an argument Klein was having with a woman in the car, whom he had been ordered not to have contact with.

Eric Zglinicki, 47, of Darien Center, is accused of firing a rifle near a residence, with at least one bullet traveling close to three people. He is charged with reckless endangerment. The alleged incident occurred yesterday around 7:20 p.m.

Joseph Puls, 22, of Alexander, was stopped for an alleged traffic violation in Alabama. Deputies say they found marijuana in his vehicle, which led to a charge of unlawful possession of marijuana.

Shauna Clattanburg, 27, of Batavia, is accused of striking a Sheriff's deputy in the chest and then containing to hit the officer and yell obscenities while she was taken into custody. The incident arrose during a property dispute in Batavia at 11:38 yesterday. Clattanburg was charged with harassment and resisting arrest.

I've been on Bank Street near the city limits each of the past four days. Friday, this was a normal speed sign as I remember it.  When I saw "road block" Saturday, I didn't think much of it. Then I did the blotter report this morning and realized that the Batavia Police Department was running a DWI check point on Bank Street Friday evening.  It looks like somebody tried to warn drivers.

Four alleged illegal immigrants from Guatemala were apprehended by Batavia police at a Bank Street DWI check point Friday night.

One of the men arrested, Edwin O. Perez-Hernandez, 36, of Varysburg, allegedly tried to flee the scene on foot and faces a resisting arrest charge. He is held on $2,500 bail.

Oscar U. Perez-Hernandez was reportedly the driver of the vehicle and faces numerous traffic violation charges, according to police. He is held on $1,000 bail.

Two women in the vehicle were issued appearance tickets for immigration court.

James F. Kempisty, 48, of Batavia, drove through a DWI check point on Bank Street Friday night around 10:30 and BPD officers determined that he was apparently intoxicated. He was charged with DWI and driving with a BAC of .08 or greater. Kempisty was issued an appearance ticket and released.

Dustin R. Collinge, 24, of Wheatland, faces two felony counts following a traffic stop in Stafford early Sunday morning. Collinge is charged with DWI and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Collinge reportedly has a prior DWI conviction. He is accused of driving with a BAC of .08 or greater. Collinge was released pending arraignment.

Keith Whitney, 21, of Churchville, is charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon and a misdemeanor count of menacing following an alleged domestic dispute with his girlfriend in Bergen early Sunday morning. Whitney allegedly brandished an assault rifle "with the intent to use it against his girlfriend," according Sheriff's deputies. He is being held on $5,000 bail.

Robert Brown, 47, of Darien, is accused of pushing an acquaintance to the floor.  He is charged with harassment in the second degree.

Richard Synder, 43, of Batavia, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop for allegedly speeding in Elba. Snyder was issued an appearance ticket and released.

Erick R. Horning, 19, of Batavia, is accused of hosting an under-age drinking party at his house on Wilkenson Road early Saturday morning. Horning was charged with unlawful dealing with a child, issued a ticket and released.

Robert  Piechocki, 45, of Attica, is charged with criminal possession of a weapon. Deputies allegedly found six unregistered pistols in his residence while investigating a reported domestic incident.

Bradley R. Jordan, 16, of Bethany, is charged with criminal possession of stolen property. Jordan is allegedly involved with the theft of a 2004 Polaris Sportsman Pro H.O. Four-Wheel ATV from a residence in Stafford. Deputy P.J. Reeves reported he found Jordan in possession of the ATV, which went missing March 11. Previously, we reported Steven Peckenpaugh, 17, of Attica, had been arrested and charged with the theft of the vehicle. Jordan is held on $10,000 bail. The value of the ATV was placed at $3,700.

Abdullah H. Shareef, 27, of Rochester, is accused of damaging a door to City Centre on May 4. He was taken into custody by Batavia PD at 8:05 p.m last night. He is being held in Genesee County Jail on $1,000 bail.

Jarred Brannan, 24, of Churchville, was taken into custody based on a bench warrant. No details are provided on the nature of the warrant. He is held in Genesee County Jail on $1,000 bail.

An Oakfield couple was allegedly found last night to posses a substantial amount of crack cocaine after the Genesee County Drug Enforcement Task Force obtained a search warrant for 26 S. Pearl St., Apt. 2.

Investigators reportedly found $300 in crack cocaine and $300 in marijuana during the search of the residence and related vehicles.

Taken into custody were Dennis "Dookie" R. Lloyd-Butler, 27, and Mandy Lloyd, 29.

Investigators reportedly found marijuana in the glove box of Mandy Lloyd's car.

Lloyd-Butler was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and criminal possession of marijuana. Mandy Lloyd was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

Lloyd-Butler is being held in Genesee County Jail without bail. Mandy Lloyd was issued an appearance ticket.

The Sheriff's Office reports additional charges are pending.

Assisting in the investigation were the Genesee County District Attorney's office, City of Batavia's Emergency Response Team, Genesee County Sherif's deputies, New York State Police officers and K-9 "Jay."

Patrick W. Collins, 46, of Batavia, is being held on $2,500 bail after allegedly attacking his wife. Collins reportedly threw his wife against a wall, put his hands around her neck and threatened to kill her. He is charged with menacing in the third degree. The alleged incident occurred last night around 11:30 p.m.

Martin G. Pacer, 29, of Corfu, allegedly violated an order of protection by punching another person in the face Wednesday night around 11 p.m. The incident occurred in Pembroke. He is charged with criminal contempt and harassment. Pacer is held in Genesee County Jail on $5,000 bail.

The long arm of Illinois law enforcement apparently got its man with the help of the Genesee County Sheriff's Office yesterday afternoon when William John Riley was stopped for excessive window tint on the car he was driving on Lover's Lane Road in Batavia.

Riley is either 32 or 39, depending on which date of birth he uses, and was allegedly wanted in Illinois on a charge of home repair fraud in Pontiac, Ill.

Sheriff's Deputy Ronald Meides became suspicious of Riley during the traffic stop, so Riley, who has been living in Rochester, was brought into the Sheriff's Office for questioning.

During the conversation, Meides suspected Riley of giving false information about his identity.

Riley's finger prints were live scanned at the Genesee County Jail and a short time later, his identity was confirmed, according to a Sheriff's Office press release.

Riley is being held without bail.

He faces additional charges  for the window tint and for carrying a radio in the car that is capable of picking up police frequencies.

Trisha Boyd, 20, of Glendale, Nova Scotia, Canada, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Boyd allegedly left two children unattended in a car while inside the Shoe Dept. store on Veterans Memorial Drive.

Donal Slubecky, 47, of Alden, was arrested for alleged trespassing for the purposes of hunting in Batavia. Slubecky was allegedly turkey hunting on posted land off of Kelsey Road. He was taken into custody this morning at 6:48 a.m.

Five people were taken into custody in connection with alleged under-age drinking parties on successive nights at 3065 Pearl St. in the Town of Batavia.

Adam B. Thomas, 20, of Batavia, was pepper sprayed after allegedly giving false information about his age and then resisting arrest. He is charged with false personation and resisting arrest and was jailed in lieu of $300 bail. The incident occurred at 5 a.m. Saturday morning.

Less than 24 hours later, Sheriff's deputies were again summoned to the residence after receiving a tip that another under-age drinking party was in progress.

Deputies and State Police arrived at 2:30 a.m. and reportedly found several youths drinking.

Taken into custody were: Anne M. Culliton, 45, and Michael K. Culliton, 44, both of Batavia. They were charged with unlawful dealing with a child stemming from the Saturday morning incident.

Also arrested were Christian Culliton, 24, of Le Roy, and Brandon Culliton, 23, of Batavia, for unlawful dealing with a child stemming from the early Sunday morning party.

All four were issued appearance tickets.

Investing the incidents were Sgt. T.A. Sanfratello, deputies Kevin M. McCarthy, James Diehl, Chad Minuto, Jason E. Saile, Patrick J. Reeves along with state troopers Weslowski and Franz.

Michael J. Elmore, 18, of  Batavia, is accused of shooting 8-year-old boy in the leg with a BB gun at the skate park on Evans Street. Elmore is charged with reckless endangerment and endangering a child.

Megan J. Nenni, 21,of Albion, is charged with DWI following a traffic stop in the City of Batavia early Saturday morning.

Jake Myers, 19, of Batavia, was charged with possession of marijuana following a traffic stop early Saturday morning. Myers was also cited for drivers view obstructed, but no details on that violation were provided.

Eric L. Skeet, 20, of Corfu, is charged with DWI and possession of Marijuana following a traffic stop following a traffic stop on Pearl Street early Saturday morning. He is accused of having a BAC .08 or more.

UPDATE: Somehow I missed a couple of faxes from the weekend this morning. Below are additional items not part of our original report.

Jerod L. Trebian, 30, of Batavia, is charged with DWI stemming from a traffic stop for alleged speeding Friday evening in Pembroke on Route 77. He is accused of having a BAC of .08 or greater and driving 59 in a 40 m.p.h. zone.

Lazeuia D. Washington, 32, of Buffalo, was arrested in Darien for an alleged DWI, resisting arrest and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. She was placed in jail in lieu of $1,500 bail.

Shuvon Williams, 32, of Batavia, is accused of shoplifting from K-Mart. He is charged with petit larceny.

Christopher Saddler, 25, of Albion was pulled over by a Sheriff deputy for an alleged traffic violation at 12:20 p.m. yesterday. The K-9 working with Deputy Thompson reportedly alerted on the car, and then alerted on a backpack in the car. Saddler was cited for unlawful possession of marijuana.

Jeffery Vanslyke, 27, of Elba, was issued an appearance ticket Monday around 10:20 p.m. for alleged unlawful possession of marijuana. The marijuana was reportedly found following a traffic stop in Byron.

Leon C. Bloom, Jr., 27, who has no permanent address, was arrested last night at 11:40 p.m. for allegedly violating an order of protection. Bloom reportedly went to the residence of the protected person. Bloom is being held on $1,000 bail.

Chad D. Vanburen, Jr., 18, of Lockport, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Vanburen was stopped for allegedly speeding in Pembroke when deputies reportedly found he had marijuana with him. He was issued an appearance ticket.

Brian P. Griffin, 24, of Batavia, is charged with grand theft and endangering the welfare of a child after he allegedly forced his way into the car of an ex-girlfriend, climbed over her children and grabbed a cell phone from her hand. The alleged incident took place Saturday around 7:20 p.m.  Griffin is being held without bail.

John C. Townley, 33, of Alexander, is charged with criminal mischief. Townley allegedly got involved in a verbal argument with another patron at MY Saloon early Saturday morning. Because of the disturbance, an employee reportedly asked Townley to leave the bar. Once outside, Townley reportedly punched a window of the building and broke it.

Cory J. Rigdon, 22, of Holley, is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .18 or higher and unlicensed operation of a vehicle. Rigdon was arrested after reportedly driving off the end of Hessenthaler Road in Byron on Sunday evening. Upon further investigation, deputies found he had a prior DWI conviction.

John Tullar, 30, of Batavia, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on Pratt Road.

Jeffery S. Leonard, 22, of Tonawanda, is charged with DWI, a BAC of .08 or greater and ticked for failure to stop at a stop sign. He was cited early Sunday morning on Pearl Street in Batavia.

A 17-year-old from Brockport is accused of sending digital photos depicting nudity from his computer to a minor at a home in Bergen. The youth was arrested and charged with a felony count of disseminating indecent material to a minor. He was arraigned in Town of Bergen Court and released under supervision.

Chrisopher Bey, 32, of Attica, is charged with driving while under the influence of drugs and possession of a controlled substance. Bey was allegedly spotted by a Sheriff's investigator operating a car erratically, swerving all over the roadway on Route 33, so a Sheriff's deputy was called to the scene. Deputy Thompson observed the car pull off the road, the driver jump out, open the hood and then quickly close it. Deputy Thompson pull behind to see what the problem was and observed activity that led him to believe the driver and passenger were under the influence of narcotics. A K-9 search by "Jay" revealed Bey possibly possessed heroin. Bey was also cited for failure to keep right and expired inspection.

Amber Ellison, 19, of Cheektowaga, is charged with possession of marijuana. The marijuana was reportedly found following a traffic stop in Alabama. Ellison was released on an appearance ticket.

A nurse with the Genesee County health department has reportedly lost her job and is accused of forging two clinical notes about a patient she did not examine.

Sherri Allen, 47, of Elba is charged with two counts of filing a false instrument.

Allen allegedly submitted clinical notes containing false information about a client she did not examine. The notes were dated March 16 and March 30 for clients who skipped their appointments on those dates.

When Jeffrey D. Bald, 27, of Wolcott Street in LeRoy, allegedly fled from police following a reported domestic disturbance, he did more than just send law enforcement officers on a chase, he also reportedly disrupted 9-1-1 service for the village.

Bald reportedly lost control of his vehicle on Myrtle Street and struck a utility pole. That accident caused disruption to the emergency call service, which has now been restored.

UPDATE: We just received this correction from Chris Hayward, chief of police: 

911 service still an issue.  Frontier working on it and they hope to have it resolved by this afternoon.  911 calls being forwarded to 768-2527, if that is busy calls then route to the County.  If they call 911 and still experience a problem call 768-2527 directly. 

Events began around 9:15 p.m. at Bald's residence, where police were called because of a possible domestic dispute.  En route to the residence, police say they spotted Bald driving from the scene on Wolcott.

Bald reportedly drove into the intersection of Route 5, turning westbound on Route 5, nearly striking another vehicle head-on.

Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but Bald reportedly headed the wrong way down Bacon Street. Upon reaching Route 19, Bald reportedly drove his car southbound to Myrtle Street, which is where he apparently lost control.

Bald then reportedly attempted to flee the scene on foot and he was taken into custody about a half mile from the site of the accident.

Police report speeds in the vehicle chase never exceeded 50 m.p.h.

Bald is charged with DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation, resisting arrest and leaving the scene of a property damage accident, along with other violations. He is being held in Genesee County Jail on $5,000 bail.

Amanda Wittmann, 21, of Bennington, is charged with rape. Wittmann is accused of sexual relations with a 16-year-old in Washington, where authorities issued a warrant for her arrest. She was arrested in Pembroke.

Micahel Innes, 55, of Rochester, is likely going to pay more for his untaxed cigarettes than he anticipated. Yesterday, Innes was stopped in Oakfield for an alleged traffic violation. A Sheriff's deputy noticed more than 400 cigarettes in his car, which is a violation of New York State tax code. Innes will appear in Oakfield Town Court to answer the charges June 8.

Lamarr Randell, 23, of Buffalo, was stopped for allegedly speeding in Pembroke. Deputies report they found marijuana in his possession.  He was cited for both alleged violations.

Timothy Mcjury, 21, of Alexander, is charged with petty larceny for allegedly shoplifting at Home Depot in Batavia.

Joseph Henrick, 59, of Stafford, is accused of violating an order of protection. He is charged with criminal contempt.
