• Due to the current weather and road conditions, Batavia City School District will be closed for classes today, Tuesday, January 28. A decision on evening events (games, practices, etc) will made by 2 p.m.
• Due to the poor visibility and hazardous conditions, Elba Central will be closed today, Tuesday 1/28.
• The Richmond Memorial Library will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28. 
• Oakfield-Alabama Central School District, closed
• Genesee Valley BOCES, closed
• Byron-Bergen Central School District, closed
• Alexander Central School, closed 
• Le Roy Central School District, Delayed one hour

• Batavia City School District will be canceled on Wednesday, January 22. Because this cancellation is for the morning cold advisory, a decision on evening events (games, practices, etc) will made by 2 p.m. as the forecast is monitored.

• Batavia City School District has cancelled all after school activities for Monday, January 13. If parents have children at the YMCA program at Jackson or John Kennedy, please pick them up by 4 p.m.
• Alexander Central - No evening activities & sports canceled
• Rehearsal for the Genesee Chorale’s spring season will be postponed until 7 p.m. Jan. 20 at St. James Episcopal Church, 405 E. Main St., Batavia.

• Due to the winter storm warning, the Genesee County Animal Shelter will be closed to the public on Sunday, January 14, 2024. We hope to resume normal public hours on Monday, Jan. 15 from 1 to 3 p.m.  We recommend calling the shelter at 585-343-6410 to confirm this prior to attending open hours.
• All BCSD events and practices for Sunday are canceled, and all BCSD schools will be closed.
• Due to the dangerous weather conditions, Batavia First Presbyterian Church’s in-person Sunday worship has been cancelled for Sunday morning.
• Alabama Hotel is closed today.
