The Genesee County Health Department received $477,000 in funding from the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) to implement the Healthy Neighborhoods Program (HNP) for the years 2022 to 2027.
Residents in the Town and City of Batavia are eligible to participate in the program and the
Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-24) introduced the Red Light Act to withhold federal transportation funding from states that enact laws to provide driver's licenses or identification cards to illegal immigrants in the United States.
This bill directs the Department of Transportation to withhold a state's entire share of
Storm Elliott has prompted Gov. Kathy Hochul to declare a statewide State of Emergency in anticipation of a winter storm to hit Genesee and other Western New York counties by early Friday morning.
The State of Emergency is to be in effect through Monday.
