The Genesee County Soil & Water Conservation District enjoyed a record year in 2021 as it initiated and finished 13 grant-funded agricultural and other projects designed to ensure the continued flow of clean, safe water, the department’s manager said on Wednesday.

Audrey J. (Brown) Fay, 87, of Batavia, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home.
Audrey was born October 9, 1933, in East Bethany, a daughter of the late Howard and Winifred (Carlson) Brown.
Audrey was a greeter at Walmart in Batavia, loved being with her family and was a New York Yankees and Miami Dolphins fan.
Surviving are her daughters, Lori (Raymond) Luzier of California, Patricia (Lawrence) Cassatt of Elba and Sandra (Robert) Tunningley of Henrietta; a sister, Marilyn (late Merlin) Kirch of Kansas; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Audrey is the wife of the late Richard Fay.
Services will be held at a later date in East Bethany Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Genesee County Senior Center, 2 Bank Street, Batavia, NY 14020.
