Martin K. Toporczyk, 49, of Darien Center passed away suddenly in Warsaw on Saturday August 19, 2017. Marty was born in Buffalo on December 4, 1967 to the late Daniel M. Toporczyk and his mother Dolores Kleps.

Marty was a mason at Pike Construction. Marty loved to fish, collect coins, and was an all-around nice guy. A people person with the gift of gab. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his children Brittany K. Toporczyk of Alden and Morgan K. Toporczyk of Springhill FL., brother Mark Toporczyk (Tonya Hackett) of East Bethany; nephew Brandon K. Toporczyk of California, serving in the U.S. Navy; niece Brianna C. Toporczyk of Alexander; Aunt MaryAnn (Paul) Reese of Arizona; Cousin Jeff Reese of Connecticut; and girlfriend Ann Cox of Warsaw

There will be no prior calling hours. A memorial Service will be held at a later date to be announced.

Law and Order: man accused of stabbing

Daquan J. Butler, 28, of Brooklyn, is charged with assault 1st, burglary 1st, criminal possession of a weapon 3rd, and endangering the welfare of a child. Butler is accused of illegally entering a residence on Liberty Street, Batavia, on Aug. 25, 2023, and stabbing an adult male inside the residence. A child was in the house at the time. Butler was located in New York City by U.S. Marshals and returned to Batavia. He was arranged in County Court and jailed.
