Well this is my first blog here, even though I have been a regular visitor to the Batavian.

I guess this blog post is more for me and to be able to vent my frustrations, since my family although supportive is tired of hearing me lol.

There are no microwaved meals at Kade's Scratch Kitchen, 15 Main St., Le Roy.

All meals are made to order. They're not reheated entrees. They're not made in a commercial kitchen in another state.

There isn't even a microwave in the kitchen. The only microwave is behind the dining counter. 

"We use it to heat brownies," said co-owner Beth Burger. "That is the only reason we have it." 

Young scholars get a jump on their career, earn credits through college academies

Students in local high schools are discovering their desired career path a few years earlier thanks to the career academies offered jointly through Genesee Valley Educational Partnership, College Tech Prep, and Genesee Community College.
