Come to the 8th Annual World Wide Christmas Fair on Saturday, November 13th from 9am to 3pm at the First Presbyterian Church, 300 E. Main St., Batavia. FREE ADMISSION.

Build a Better World - Shop with Purpose. Support fair trade, not-for-profit and service organizations by purchasing high quality gifts from local, regional and international vendors. Fair Trade vendors include: One World Projects, One World Goods, Kingdom Ventures, Equal Exchange Coffee. Local not-for-profits include: Crossroads House, YWCA, Healthy Sisters Soup and Bean Works, The Paint Box Project from Roswell Park, Project Life.

Of all the events and groundbreakings and celebrations that Genesee County Legislative Chairwoman Shelley Stein has attended to represent the county, there has been one event that has been a sober reminder of just how precious life really is.

Gananda didn't score a goal until the second minute of Tuesday's Section V Class C2 semifinal in Girls Soccer at Pittsford-Sutherland, which sort of felt like an accomplishment to Byron-Bergen Head Coach Wayne Hill.

"Last year, we played them (in postseason) and they scored in the first 10 seconds,"
