Jeffrey D. Ellingham

Jeffrey D. Ellingham, 69 of Rotonda West, FL passed away on September 25, 2020 after a 6-1/2 year battle with Leukemia. 

Jeff was the youngest of 5 born to Freeman & Margaret (McColl) Ellingham of LeRoy, NY. He graduated from LeRoy High School in 1970. Jeff attended Monroe Community College then enlisted in the Army in Jan 1971. After honorable discharge in 1974 he made his way to Tucson, AZ attended Pima Community College and worked at the Tucson Post Office. 

Jeff & Kathleen (Sisson) were married on August 13, 1976 and returned to LeRoy, NY in 1978 where Jeff worked in the Rochester Post Office retiring in 2006 after being Post Master in Bergen, LeRoy, Batavia & Medina, NY. After retiring Jeff concentrated on GOLF and moved to FL when Kathy retired in 2008. 
Jeff was preceded in death by his Parents; Father-in-law Edwin Sisson and Brother-in-law John Kelly. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy, Son Joshua and Daughters Rebecca (Ken Kramarz) Powers and Christina (Maj James) Gibbs; Grandchildren Alexis Powers, Dekker, Rowan, Kallum and Maddox Gibbs. 

Siblings Jean Kelly; John (Mary Jo) Ellingham; Joan (Lloyd) Eldridge; Jim (Mary Beth) Ellingham. Mother- in-Law Lois (McQuillen) Sisson; Sister-in-Law Barbara (Harold/Tom) White; Brothers-in law James (Elizabeth) Sisson; and John (Theresa) Sisson, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and many fellow golfers. 
Services are private with internment in Sarasota National Cemetery on Mon. October 19, 2020 at 1pm. 

In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to be made in Jeff’s honor to Tidewell Hospice in Englewood, FL or Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa FL.

Lance R. Glover

  Lance R. Glover passed away suddenly at home at the age of 76 on September 29, 2020. He was born on February 24, 1944 in Hornell to the late Roy and Wanda (Howe) Glover. In addition to his parents, Lance is predeceased by his siblings; Shirley Burdett, Vivian Gallese, Marge Christie, Larry Glover and Sandy Bartlett.

Lance shared his life with his loving wife Cheryl for 55 yrs. They were married on Nov 27. 1965. After which Lance was drafted into the Army in 1967. After serving his country stationed in Germany until 1969, he continued his career as a well-respected body & collision man. He also possessed a vast knowledge of antique cars & parts.  He used these unique talents to create custom auto-related memorabilia. He loved to entertain at home sharing funny stories with many close family and friends. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.

He is survived by his wife; Cheryl (Pierce) Glover of Alexander; children Holly (Jim) Piljay of W. Henrietta, Troy Glover of Batavia and Nicole Gaiser of Attica; sisters Ellen (Frank) Cappadonia of Naples, FL., and Sharon Shultz of Webster; sister-in-law Nancy Glover, Brother-in-law Jim (Brenda) Pierce; 5 grandchildren Nicolas, Matthew and Mitchell Gaiser, Tyler and Jaida Piljay; many nieces and nephews and extended family; Tony Marinaccio & Scott Offhaus.

Peter J. "PJ" Davis II

Peter J. “PJ” Davis II, 47 of Warsaw, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020. He was born April 30, 1973 in Warsaw to the late Peter J. Davis and Patricia Ward. He is preceded in death by sister Lezlie Nearhood and niece Racheal Houlihan.

PJ was a hard worker that loved to tinker. He was a very nice person and enjoyed fishing in his younger years.

He is survived by his step-mother Sharon (LeFort) Davis of Attica; sisters Tonya (Timothy) Houlihan of Castile; Traci Cooper of NC; along with many nieces and nephews.

Larry I. Draper

Larry I. Draper of Cheektowaga, New York, entered into rest on Saturday September 26, 2020. He was 76.

Mr. Draper was born in Warsaw, New York and grew up in western New York and after leaving school, joined the United States military and proudly served his country during the Viet Nam war. After his term of service was over, Mr. Draper returned home to his family and worked hard to support them. But he also got involved in harness racing, first getting his license in 1975 and then buying his first horse, Lady Chilton, that same year. 

Mr. Draper remained involved in the sport for the rest of his working life as both a driver and trainer and always had a horse or two that he campaigned each year for 39 consecutive years. Mr. Draper drove his last race in 2013 and trained his last horse the following year, however he kept both of his licenses current to this day. 

Mr. Draper was the beloved husband of Donna M. (nee Fridey) Draper; devoted father of Jennifer (Trevor) Sajdak, Robin (Michael) D'Agostino, Justin (Ashley) Draper, Michael Draper and the late Michael David Draper; cherished grandfather of Savina Maria, Dallas McKenna, Jaxx Michael and Jace Michael; loving son of Elva (nee Weber) and the late Ivan Draper; dear brother of Gordie (Sandy) Draper, James Draper (Betty) and Darlene (Kevin) Heinrich; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Snyder Chapel), 4614 Main St., near Harlem Road, on Thursday from 3-7 p.m. Military Honors will immediately follow. Florence M. Silvernail

LeRoy ~ Florence M. Silvernail, age 93, of Asbury Road, passed away Monday afternoon (Sept. 28, 2020) in the presence of her loving family, at the home of her son and care provider.

    

 She was born December 23, 1926 in LeRoy, a daughter of the late Samuel and Rose DiMaria Mogavero.

     Florence had a great love for her home and her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.  She loved her job as an executive secretary at Jones Chemical for over 25 years.  She was proud of her professional career and wasn't afraid to "correct" the grammar of her family and friends.  Florence was also a breast cancer survivor.

     She is survived by her children; Ann Koehler (James Erb), Karen (David) Antinore and Michael Silvernail; grandchildren, Jason (Marsha) Shetler, Diane Miller (Chris Calice), Debbie (Mike) Trickey, Mathew (Kelly) Koehler, Brent Antinore (Amanda Nunz), Vanessa Silvernail, Marshall Silvernail (Allysa Lampkin); great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Michael, Ally, Cole, Alyssa, Ashley, Justin, Amber, Trevor, Emma, Chloe, McKenna, Ryan, Rylie, Lexi, Luke, Austyn, Hudsyn; brother, Richard Mogavero, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

     She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Richard "Dick" Silvernail; her son, John Silvernail; her daughter, Darla Shetler and siblings; Eileen Conrad, Josephine Ivison, Mary Mogavero, Joseph Mogavero, Elenor Mogavero and Elinora Rebban.

     Her Rite of Christian Burial will be announced at a later date.

Zachary A. Pope

Zachary A. Pope, 54 of Attica, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020. He was born January 4, 1966 in Batavia to Janice (Michael) Beedham of Attica and the late David Pope.

Zach was an avid Buffalo Bills and NASCAR Fan, he enjoyed playing Euchre, and had an infectious laugh. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and dog Junior.

He is survived by his children Jacob and Hannah Pope of Alexander; siblings Dennis, Adam (Galadriel) and Sarah Pope; Meridith, James and Hailey Beedham; Mindy (Mike) Herman; Robert (Kendal) Dunbar; step-mother Linda Pope; along with several nieces and nephews.

Cindy L. Moore

Cindy L. Moore, 66 of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Friday (September 25, 2020) at Unity Hospital in Rochester, NY.

She was born September 3, 1954 in Batavia, NY, a daughter of the late Laverne Thayer and Betty Peck Weatherbee of Batavia.

Cindy was formerly employed by Seacraft in Batavia prior to her retirement. She was an avid reader and enjoyed attending theatrical plays and playing cards. Most of all she enjoyed her family and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Moore of Batavia. Children, Buffy (Patrick) Lancer of Lutz, Florida, Scott (Donna Horn) Moore of Batavia. Sisters, Beverly Morgan of Batavia and Sue Wolfe of Lockport. Also survived by her grandchildren, Cora, Andrew, Tia and Timmy and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.

Samuel E. Williams

Samuel E. Williams, 72, of Corfu, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020. He was born August 27, 1948 in Buffalo to the late Melvin (Hester Neff) Williams. Sam is preceded in death by his wife Deborah (Powell) Williams and brother-in-law William Bruggman.

Sam was a United States Navy Veteran. He worked as a civilian at Albion and Attica State Prison. He was a longtime member of the WNY Gas & Steam Engine Association. Sam was a Darien Volunteer Fireman. He was an avid hunter and greatly enjoyed it.

He is survived by his significant other Linda Rindell of Corfu; children Staci (Nate Woodard) Williams of Sheldon; Amy (Robert) Gromlovits of Darien; Jenny (Travis) Sholes of OH; siblings Connie Bruggman of Batavia; Gary (Donna) Williams of Myrtle Beach, SC; Melvin (Helen) Williams of East Concord; Paula (Marty) Wolcott of Woodburn, OR; Ronald (Susan) Williams of The Villages, FL; 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior calling hours and services will be private. He will be laid to rest in Darien Cemetery.

Majorie K. Gray (Keenan), PAVILION - September 26, 2020 at age 93. She is survived by her children, Jane (Wayne) Smith, John (Joan) Gray both of Pavilion, David Gray of Perry, Karen Gray of Geneseo, Kevin (Laurie) Gray of Caledonia, Rog-er (Sue) Gray of LeRoy, Kathy (Dana) Fleming of East Bethany; 12 grand-children; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary (Abe) Sickles, Marilyn (Richard) Fisher; brothers, Robert, John, Melville (Martha) Keenan; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Keenan; many nieces and nephews. Madison "Maddie" Masters

Madison "Maddie" Masters died unexpectedly on September 25th in LeRoy, NY at the age of 17.

     Madison is survived by her parents, Kate Cross of LeRoy, and Chris (Christy) Masters of Lima; siblings, Brooklyn, Breck, Brinnley, & Bristol; Grandparents, Debbie & Tom McCullough, Doug & Sharon Cross, John & Candy Masters; Great-Grandmother, Margaret King; Great-Grandfather, John Flint; many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, special friend, Joey Volpe and many dear friends. 

     Madison was born on April 11, 2003 in Rochester at Highland Hospital.  She attended LeRoy High School and was in her senior year.  She loved working at Batavia’s Original in Batavia. She played volleyball and softball for the LeRoy Knights and was a dancer at Fusion Dance Studios since when she was two years old. 

     She was a kind, caring and beautiful young woman, with a loving heart, taken too soon.  She was loved by so many family and friends and will be missed always and forever.

     Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th from 2 ~ 8 P.M. at Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy, NY 14482. Virginia T. Tresco

Virginia T. Tresco, 88 of Corfu, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at ECMC in Buffalo. She was born June 28, 1932 in Batavia, to the late Gerald (Irene Colantonio) Tresco. She is preceded in death by sister Shirley (Gary) Cox, grand-nephew Nicholas DiMartino and brother-in-law Francis Penkaszyk.

Ms. Tresco worked for over 40 years at Farmers Protection Credit in Batavia and was an avid reader. She had a huge heart, always giving to charities, lending a helping hand and was always there when you needed her. A longtime member of Resurrection Parish, she had a strong faith and attended church often.

She is survived by siblings Geraldine Penkaszyk; Jeanette Cox and David Tresco all of Batavia; along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

There will be no prior calling hours. Funeral Services will be held privately. She will be laid to rest at Grand View Cemetery, Batavia.

Marilyn J. McCabe

LeRoy - Marilyn J. McCabe , 81  of LeRoy, formerly of Scottsville and Batavia, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home in LeRoy.

Mrs. McCabe was born August 19th, 1939 in Buffalo, a daughter of the late Herbert Clausius and Anna Harbison Clausius Lenz.

She was a member of the Batavia First Presbyterian Church and a retired nurse, having worked for many years in Dr. Khan's office.

Marilyn is the wife of the late Michael McCabe.

She is survived by her children, Jacqueline M. Grasso of Rochester, Michael J (Nancy) Grasso of Scottsville and their children Gina and Jared Grasso, Jeffery A Grasso of Rochester and his children, Nicole Grasso, Brittany LaBore, and Adam LaBore, Wendy S. (Brian) Winslow of Scottsville and their children Mallory and Abigail Winslow; a sister, Barbara (late Larry) Hoffman; a sister-in-law, Mary Clausius of Rhode Island.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Clausius.

James V. Lewis

Batavia - James  V.  Lewis , 83  of Batavia  passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Brothers of Mercy Nursing Home in Clarence.

Mr. Lewis was born November 13th, 1936 in Oswego,  a son of the late James Lewis and Nettie (Murray) Lewis.

He was a member of Ascension Parish - Sacred Heart Church, where he served as an Eucharistic Minister.  He is a former member and Eucharistic Minister at Resurrection Parish; Mr. Lewis retired after 20 years in the US Navy as a Lt Commander and was a long-time teacher in the Batavia City Schools.  He was a member of the Batavia Lions Club, Knights of Columbus Council 325, 4th Degree Assemble Knights of Columbus Council 755, Batavia Teachers Union, Genesee County Retired Teachers Association, and former town of Batavia Councilman.

James is the husband of the late Jean Anne (Spath) Lewis who passed away in 2010.

He is survived by his children, Kelli (Ricky) Falker of Florida, Heather (Frank) Markowski of Batavia, Christopher (Angie) Lewis of Maryland, and Patrick (Susan) Lewis of Arizona; a brother, Edward (late Bonnie) Lewis of Hannibal; a sister, Christine Clancy of Clay.  5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

There will be no visitation.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Ascension Parish for the immediate family.  Mr. Lewis will be entombed in St. Joseph's Mausoleum in Batavia. Isabel M. "Bonnie" Gangi

LeRoy ~ Isabel M. "Bonnie" Gangi, age 93, of North Street, passed away Thursday afternoon (Sept. 24, 2020) at Highland Hospital in Rochester.

    

She was born November 22, 1926 in Sugar Grove, PA, a daughter of the late Guy and Mabel Nelson.

     Isabel will be remembered as the loving and devoted matriarch of her large family.  Her life centered around them. She cherished the opportunity to entertain and prepare meals for her family and her love of sewing enabled her to make gifts for them.  She had a lifelong career as a registered nurse and cared for many people at various health care facilities in the area.  Over the years, she enjoyed square dancing and traveling.

     She will be sadly missed by her children; Nancy Robords of Dansville, Thomas (Sandra) Gangi of Alliance, OH, Joan (Quentin) Call of Stafford, Paul (Norma) Gangi of Dansville, Daniel (Lorrie) Gangi of LeRoy, Mary Margaret (John) Scanlan of Bergen, Steven Gangi of Elba and Judy (David) Warner of LeRoy; sister, Betty Lou Nuttall of Youngville, PA; brother, John Roy (Dorothy) Nelson of Minneapolis, MN, foster brother, Jim Marquis of Warren, PA; 22 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, very special cousins, Miles and Sally Nelson, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

     She was predeceased by the love of her life for 59 years, Sebastian Gangi in 2007, her sister, Cynthia Peterson and her brothers-in-law, Fred Peterson and Harold Nuttall.

     Family and friends may call on Monday from 4 ~ 8 P.M. at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy. Marcia Calarco

Marcia Calarco, 58, of Oakfield,  passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at her home.

Marcia was born November 26th, 1961 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Mary Engles.

She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.   Marcia was a court stenographer for 28 years.  

Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Nick Calarco and children, Michelle Calarco, Nick (Julie) Calarco, Frank (Michelle) Calarco, Vin (Jackie) Calarco and Paul (Kristen) Calarco; grandchildren, Eric Moore, Jake Moore, Nicholas Calarco, Natalie Calarco, Anthony Calarco, Olivia Calarco, Frankie Calarco, Vincent Calarco, Jr. and Brycen Calarco; sisters, Jean Wratney and Anne Moore and her beloved dog, Pokey.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, September 28th, from 4:00 pm  to 7:00 pm  at H.E. Turner & Co.
