Oakfield - Miss Irene (Jaszko) Jatczynski, 67, of Oakfield, died Saturday, November 27, 2010at United Memorial Medical Center, in Batavia.
Age 93, formerly of Corfu died peacefully Thursday morning November 25, 2010 at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home. She was born July 28, 1917 in Rochester, NY, the seventh of 12 children of the late Ammon & Gertrude (Armstrong Stemn) Mason. She was also preceded in death by her husband Simeon Mattice; brothers Frank, George, Homer, Wilbur and Ralph Mason; sisters Ruth Johnson, Ellen Voorhees, Doris Smith, Florence Mills & Thelma Weinert. Mrs. Mattice was a wife, mother and homemaker for many years before she began working for Production Credit until the age of 85. She was a longtime and very active member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in East Pembroke. Also a GCASA volunteer for over 20 years, she enjoyed crafts, sewing and was an avid reader. Jean will be remembered as an amazing mother, grandmother & great-grandmother.
She is survived by one brother Alvin Mason of San Jose, CA; also surviving is her loving children Janice (Alan) Scoins of Sanford, NC, Dr. Nancy Mattice (Sharon David) of Florence, OR, Thomas (Susan) Mattice of Shangia, China, Thelma Mattice of Honeoye, Lu Anne (Edwin) Mileham of Corfu & Charles (Lori) Mattice of Johnsonburg; 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews & cousins.
The family will be present from 4-8 PM Wednesday Dec. 1, 2010 at the Michael S. Tomaszewski Funeral & Cremation Chapel, LLC at 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020. Please join the family for an 11:00 AM Funeral Service Thursday Dec. 2, 2010 at the Cornerstone Baptist Church Rt. 5 East Pembroke. Interment will be in East Bethany Rural Cemetery. Oakfield - Mr. Frank R. Gallaway, 82, of Oakfield, a Plant Manager for Comstock Foods in Oakfield prior to his retirement, died Thursday, November 25, 2010at United Memorial Medical Center, in Batavia after being stricken at his home.
Age 48, of Pine Street in Oakfield, a 29 year employee of the U.S. Gypsum Co. and owner of J.R. Recycle died Sunday Nov. 21, 2010 at home. Jeff was born April 15, 1962 in Batavia, the son of Russell & Mary (Skelton) Repass of Oakfield. He graduated from Oakfield-Alabama High School. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed deer hunting with his father, sons and son-in-law, along with fishing, trapping and riding his ATV with his family. When not in the woods, you could find him with his wife and daughter cheering on Team Ripass Racing, which starred his two talented sons. Jeff also claimed a record setting buck in 1994.
He is survived by his faithfull wife of 28 years, Maureen (Graves) Repass, a daughter Jamee (Ian) D'Alba, two sons Jesse & Jade Repass all of Oakfield, two sisters, Julie (Terry) Watterson of Oakfield & Jessica (John) Duyssen of Stafford. He was also the proud grandfather of Cyrus D'Alba. He is also survived by several nephews.

William H. Livingston, 73 of Perry, NY died November 19, 2010 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw. Born in Waterbury, CT on April 3, 1937, son of the late William H. (Alice Plank) Livingston. Mr. Livingston was a United States Air Force Veteran, member of the Perry Vets Club and VFW. He worked at Lapp Insulator in LeRoy for over 40 years and was a long time member of the First Congregational Church in Perry Center. After retirement he enjoyed his work as lunchroom monitor at Perry Elementary School.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years Dorothy (McMaster) Livingston of Perry; sons William (Christine) Livingston III of Naples; Timothy (Jessica) Livingston of NC; daughters LuAnne (Lester) Roberts of Castile; Lisa (Robert) Bernard of Silver Lake; Lynn (Alan) Lonsberry of Silver Springs; Nicole (Jarrod) Neal of North Collins; brothers Robert (Judy) of LA; George (Mary Ann) of NC; Gilbert (Frances) Livingston of Warsaw; sisters Patricia (Arnold) Ward of Castile; Eleanor Carr of Fillmore; Diane Elliott of HA; 11 grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

Batavia - Maria E. Stoddard, 69, of Batavia, died Friday, (November 19, 2010) at Sisters of Charity Hospital, in Buffalo.
Mrs. Stoddard was born September 5, 1941 in Buffalo, a daughter of the late Alexander and Margaret (Fusco) Sharon.
After her retirement from the V.A. Hospital in Batavia, where she was a housekeeper, Mrs. Stoddard was a teacher's aide at the Genesee County Child Daycare. She loved Halloween, having collected many costumes and also enjoyed garage sales.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Sharon of Grand Island and Justin Stoddard of Bellevue, Washington; a daughter, Margaret Pillo of Batavia; two sisters, Shirley Costello of Florida and Carol (Kenneth) Knoll of Lancaster; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Batavia - Mr. Carl L. Spikes Sr., 51, an employee of Cold Springs Construction in Akron, died Tuesday, (November 16, 2010) at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Spikes was born July 15, 1959 in Pace, MS, the son of David Jones, Sr. of Florida and Oleatha (Olivia) Spikes Brown of Elba.
He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
He was the father of Carl L. Spikes, Jr. Jermaine, Josiah, Christopher, Kayden, Shanda Spikes, Carla Spikes, Hannah Spikes and Leah; brother of Roosevelt Muhammad Jr., Laura Santiago, Naomi Brown and Jannie Brown; nephew of Drew, Levi, Oliver, Melvin, James and Dorothy Spikes and Jennie Sabb. Also surviving are grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was brother of the late Peter J. Greene.

Batavia - Mr. Robert G. (Poncho) Michalak, 66, of Batavia, the retired owner of Paint Decor, died Wednesday (November 17, 2010) at the Highland Health System, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Michalak was born December 26, 1943 in Batavia, a son of the late Anthony and Irene Dymczak Michalak who survives and lives in LeRoy.
He graduated from Oakfield-Alabama High School and Bryant & Stratton Business Institue and was a member of St. Padre Pio Parish, St. Cecelia’s Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially treasured his family vacations.
A veteran of the Vietnam War he served as a Platoon Sergeant with the 4th Infantry Division of the US Army.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Susan M. Berg Michalak; three daughters, Amy (Calvin) Nichols and Becky Michalak, both of Batavia and Sarah (Jeffrey) Zimmer of Williamsville; two brothers Anthony (Peggy) Michalak of Oakfield and John (Patti) Michalak of Batavia. He was the grandfather of Jake and Cali Nichols, Ethan Biscaro and Jack and Drew Zimmer; the brother-in-law of Jack Bishop of Texas, Tony (Shirley) Fasano of Batavia and Vernon (Donna) Berg of Indiana. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister Dorothy Bishop and infant twin sons.

Ann Marie (Hebell) Adamski Hurley, 59, of Batavia, died Monday (November 15, 2010) at her residence.
She was born in Batavia on June 24, 1951, a daughter of Russell and Marion Earl Hebell of Batavia.
Ann Marie was a 1970 graduate of Alexander Central School and a 1971 graduate of Catherine McAuley School of Practical Nursing. She was an LPN for over 37 years at Genesee County Nursing Home prior to her retirement. Spending quality time with her grandchild and family was her favorite past time along with attending City Church, jamborees and concerts. She traveled to Italy two times and spent many vacations at Lime Lake. Ann always put other people's needs befor her own. She was the best loving mom, grandma, daughter, sister, aunt and friend ever.
Surviving besides her parents are her daughters: Christina (Michael) Bak of Basom and Pamela Adamski of Batavia. Her grand daughter, Olivia Mae Walton. Two step sons: Paul Adamski Jr. and Michael (Cynthia) Adamski both of NC. A brother, David (Sylvia) Hebell of Batavia. A sister, Linda Virgo of Wayland, NY. One nephew Charles Hebell. Two nieces: Milissa Rector and Deanna Virgo. Great nephew, Noah Rector. Great niece, Jenna Jaszko. An uncle, Lee (Linda) Hebell of Webster, NY.
She was the loving aunt of Matthew Hebell who died on May 3, 2008.

Norma C. Fasano, 83, of E. Bethany, died at the home of her daughter, Judy Loveland of E. Bethany, under hospice care on Sunday (November 14, 2010).
She was born in Canadea, NY on March 11, 1927, a daughter of the late John and Viola Bennett Curry.
Norma was a film inspector at Eastman Kodak in Rochester prior to her retirement. She was an avid golfer and bowler and enjoyed camping with her family.
Surviving is a daughter, Judy (Gary) Loveland of E. Bethany. Two sons; John Fasano of Batavia and Timothy Fasano of Texas. Six grandchildren: Jennifer Doherty, Melissa Dettman, Tracy (Randy) Robbins, Noah Shaffer, Caleb (Rachel) Shaffer and Nathan Shaffer. Eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Three sisters: Wilma White of Fillmore, NY, Joan Emminizer of Batavia and Patricia Fenton of Scottsville, NY. She is the sister of the late: William Curry, Leone Noniewicz, Lois Motts and Lillian Moscicki.
Cafling hours will be Wednesday from 4 - 8 PM at the J. LEONARD MCANDREW FUNERAL HOME, 2 BOGUE AVE. , BATAVIA where prayers will be Thursday at 8:45 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at Resurrection Parish (St. Anthony's Church).
Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
