Lois A. Schutt
Lois A. Schutt of Corfu, New York, passed away on Sunday, August 18th, 2024, at Premier Genesee Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She was born on Monday, July 24th, 1939 in Batavia, New York, daughter of the Late Russell and Florence (Heffer) McClurg.
Lois was a long time member of the Faith Community Chapel. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, and traveling. Lois had many adventures in her life, including two trips to Israel, the Canadian Rockies, western United States, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Ontario, Nova Scotia, and more. Whether by herself of on motorcycle trips with Edward she enjoyed the great outdoors, from tent camping to staying in Cabins.
Lois graduated from Oakfield- Alabama high school. Later she met the love of her life, Edward Schutt, and they were married at the Faith Community Church on October 20, 1984. She worked for the E.N Rowell Company, Batavia, NY and later as a housekeeper at the Genesee County Nursing Home, until her retirement.
Lois is survived by her husband, Edward Schutt; brother and sister in laws, Anne (Ray) White of Avon, Dorothy (James) Greenhalgh of South Carolina, Richard (Nadine) Schutt of Basom, Vincent (Wilma) Schutt of Lockport, and Lisa Schutt of Ohio; good friend, Eugene DeMay and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces, and great grand nephews.
In death Lois is reunited with her parents, Russell and Florence McClurg, brothers Kenneth McClurg, Everett McClurg, Ralph (Arlene) McClurg, and Roy McClurg; sisters, June (Daniel) Stack, Ruth (Alvin) Baubie, and Sophie McClurg; sister and brother in law, Michael Schutt and Ethel McClurg, and close friend, Geraldine DeMay
Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday, August, 22, 2024, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, at Burdett & Sanford funeral home, 11 Maple Ave. Oakfield, NY. A funeral service for Lois will at Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home on Friday, August, 23, 2024, at 10:00am, Interment service will be immediately following the funeral service at Cary Cemetery.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community. May she rest in peace.
