Stafford ~ Marcia A. Gere, age 78, of Main Road, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving children on Friday morning, April 25, 2025.
She was born July 30, 1946 in Cuba, NY, a daughter of the late Carroll and Katherine Barber Swift.
Marcia will be remembered as loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend to many. She graduated with honors from Cuba High School in 1964. Marcia was an avid bowler, enjoyed cooking, baking, dancing, trips to the Thousand Islands and cheering on the Syracuse Orange and Buffalo Bills. She was also a lifetime member of the Stafford Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children, Greg Gere, Kelly Gere and Colleen Gere; granddaughter, Alyssa; the father of her children, Stanley Gere; sister, Paula Corson, along with a niece, nephews and many close friends.
In addition to her parents, Marcia was predeceased by her sister, Lois Swift; brother, Bernard Swift and brother-in-law, Donald Corson.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Marcia’s Life on Sunday, April 27 from 1 ~ 4 PM at the LeRoy American Legion, 53 W. Main Street, LeRoy.
