
Lillian S. Irrera, 90 of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday (March 5, 2025) at Buffalo General Hospital.
She was born December 19, 1934 in Warsaw, NY, a daughter of the late Carmelo “Tom” and Rose Scinta Spadaro.
Lillian graduated from LeRoy High School in 1952 and Rochester Business Institute in 1953. She was employed at Taylor Instrument in Rochester and New York Telephone in Batavia. She worked at several retail stores, retiring from Sleght’s Book Store. Lillian made many lifelong friends with work staff. She enjoyed volunteering at UMMC, attending Bible Study, singing in St. Anthony’s Church Choir, and participating in Sunshine Garden Club and St. Jerome Guild. She enjoyed entertaining family on holidays, and playing cards and dominos with friends. She was known for her elaborate tea parties and beautiful table settings. Her family especially enjoyed her St. Joseph’s Day table and Christmas Eve celebrations. Lillian was an avid reader; her favorites were romance novels.
Family and friends were always welcome and very dear to her. Lillian and her family would like to express their gratitude to her friends and The Manor House Staff and residents for their love and support.
Survivors include her daughters, Julie (David) Corbelli of Elma and Cathy (Joseph) Stout of Attica. Grandchildren, Ryan (Mackenzie) Corbelli, Collin (Bailey) Stout, Alex (Taylor) Corbelli and Lydia (Thomas) Prospero. Great-grandson, Carter Corbelli. Sister-in-law, Michelle (Michael) McNally of Batavia. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Anthony Irrera Jr.; Brother, Samuel (Sue) Spadaro; Brother-in-law, Roger (Carol) Irrera; and nephew, Tom Spadaro.
There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to share in her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, March 11th, 9:30 am at Ascension Parish (Sacred Heart), South Swan Street, Batavia. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
