William J. Parker, 79 of Batavia, “so much for an apple a day”, passed away peacefully on Wednesday (January 15, 2025) at United Memorial Medical Center.

He was born December 10, 1945 in Buffalo, NY, a son of the late Gordon and Patricia Jones Parker.

He was employed by the former Genesee County Nursing Home prior to his retirement. William was a member of the East Pembroke Vol. Fire Dept. and volunteered many years at the New York State Veterans Home in Batavia and the Genesee County Senior Center.

He is survived by his brothers, James Parker of Weedsport and John Parker of Corfu. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and William Ferrando Jr. and family who cared for him and cherished a friendship for several years.

Funeral services will be private with burial in the Hillside Cemetery, Corfu, NY.
