Robert “Gus” Deja passed away on October 8, 2024. He was born in Batavia on March 31, 1953, to John Deja and Helen (O’Neill) Deja.
Gus graduated in 1971 from Pembroke High School. He enlisted in the Army in March 1973 and served until June of 1976.
He is survived by daughters, Nicole (Oscar) Serpas and Michelle Deja, son, Ryan Deja; grandchildren, Luca and Mia Serpas, all of Texas; sister, Poppy (Wayne) Konarski, brothers, John and Michael Deja, all of Batavia.
He was preceded in death by a sister Patricia Meyer and his wife, Cheryl Maxon in August of 2024.
There will be no calling hours. Burial will be at the Western New York National Cemetery in Corfu at a later date.
