Joanne D. Hay, 92 of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday (June 19, 2024) at Premier Genesee Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.

She was born August 28, 1931 in East Pembroke, NY, a daughter of the late Ralph and Dorothy Searls Kelsey.

Joanne was instrumental in operating her husband’s business H & H Sales and Service for 15 years. She was a beloved wife, sister, mother and grandmother who was happiest spending time with her family.

She was the wife of the late Kenneth Klotzbach who passed away in 1971 and mother of the late David Klotzbach and Mark Klotzbach. Joanne was also predeceased by her siblings, Diane Little, Suzanne Van Buren and Barbara Capwell.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Harold Hay of Batavia; Daughter, Mary (Robert) Phillips of Rochester; Son, Daniel (Susan) Klotzbach of Chicago; Siblings, Christine Farrel and Ralph Kelsey Jr.; Daughters in-law, Barbara Klotzbach and Louise Klotzbach. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to share in a graveside service on Monday, July 22nd at 11:00am, at Evergreen Hill Cemetery (Alleghany Rd, Corfu).

Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.mcandrewfunralhomes.net. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to the American Cancer Society.
