Betty A. Weatherbee, 97, of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday (June 5, 2024) at the New York State Veterans Home in Batavia, NY.

She was born December 15, 1926, in Darien Center, NY, a daughter of the late Merton Asa Peck and Anna Van Buren Peck.

Betty was very proud to be the very first night supervisor of the Pembroke Thruway Restaurant when it opened in 1956.

She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Morgan and Sue (Fred) Wolfe, a son-in-law, Edward Moore, 6 grandchildren: Lisa, Bryan, Jason, Buffy, Erik and Scott, and ten great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Floyd “Spike” Weatherbee, her sister Irma Hamilton and her daughter, Cindy Moore.

Family and friends are cordially invited to share thoughts, condolences and fond memories on Monday (June 10th) from 11am-1pm at the J. LEONARD McANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2 Bogue Ave., Batavia, where a funeral service will commence at 1pm. Burial will follow in Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Corfu, NY.
