LeRoy - Charles Mielke, 76 of LeRoy passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, with his family by his side, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York.
Charles was born Monday, October 27th, 1947, in Brockport, New York a son of the late Donald Mielke and Gladys (Bridgeman) Mielke.
He was a member of The Bergen Rod and Gun Club, American Legion, and a former Bergen Volunteer Firefighter. He truly enjoyed spending time working outdoors in his yard, planting trees, mowing the lawn, planting his garden, and taking long walks with labrador, Kelley. He loved model trains, his grandchildren, and sitting in his garage enjoying the weather with Kelley.
Charles will be remembered by his son Todd (Julie) Mielke and grandchildren, Mackenzie and Mason Mielke of VA; brother, Gary (Toye) Mielke of Bergen; nephews, William "Bill" (Tammy) Mielke and Scott (Lisa) Mielke; great-nieces, great-nephews, many cousins, and his faithful furry companion, Kelley.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, January 20th, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 51 South Lake Avenue, Bergen, NY. Charles’s memorial service will be held immediately following calling hours at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 51 South Lake Avenue, Bergen, NY.
