Mary J. Kocol

Mary J. (Richley) Kocol, age 88, died peacefully on December 20, 2023, with family present. She was the daughter of Henry & Christine Richley. Mary was a passionate gardener, and enjoyed sewing, bird feeding & viewing, reading, puzzles, and family camping trips. She especially enjoyed time with family and hosted several reunions.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Adam of 53 years, sisters Betty Hofmaster, and Barbara (David) Hennig.
Survivors include, children Teresa Pickett, Thomas (Barbara) Kocol, and Ann Marie (Steve) Rodland. Siblings June (David) Pann, Ronald (Priscilla) Richley, Sandy McMullen, and Darrell (Linda) Richley. Grandchildren Jason (Kate Boylan) Pickett, Alanna Snodgrass, Lindsay (Brandon) Comstock, Brandon (Georgia Ann Tretyak) Kocol, Adam (Rachel) Kokot, and Justin Rodland.  9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews also survive.

Family will receive family and friends Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at the C. B. Beach & Son Mortuary, Inc., 4 East Main Street, Corfu, NY from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be at 11a.m. on Thursday, December 28th at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Crittenden, NY.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
