He was born January 18, 1957 in Batavia, a son of the late Albert and Phoebe Babbage Burr.
James was an avid Grateful Dead-Head and loved the outdoors. He was thought of as a great man and was known as a giver and not a taker.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Clark Burr, step-children, many friends and his beloved canine companion, Cody.
