He is survived by his son, Peter Wood from Geneva; brother Charles (Teresa) Wood of Churchville; sister, Rowena (Jim) Wood of Monterey, California; nieces, Stacey Steffens and Madeline Patterson; nephews, Steven Klinge and Charles Kendall Wood.
He was preceded in death by brother, Denniston K. Wood of Batavia.
Mr. Wood was a retired NY State trooper and was active in SCOPE. He loved mechanics of all kinds and was always willing to help. George was an avid storyteller who left us all the wiser and often “in stitches.” He will be greatly missed.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gateway Home, 91 Main St. Attica, NY 14011.
